On the 1100 train tomorrow like a bat out of Hull, then on Saturday getting the 1030 train from Sankey, purchasing a ticket from the delightful Sandra, well known for her infectious cheerful persona. Few drinks around Manchester then head over to the stadium probably in time for the Wakey v Cas game. Repeat to fade the following day, except there are no trains from Sankey. Not a bad way to celebrate finishing university!

Thanks! Last year I missed the magic weekend due to having an EU law exam the day after, so I was made up when the timetable came out in April.

Heading to Padgate Station for about 10:30 , watch 2 trains stop at the station rammed full and Drive off, then ring northern Rail to complain and be told they are not putting extra trains on today as there no events in Manchester this weekend.

Grab the car..... park in Manchester, watch the match head back with a t1tty on cause I could not drink.

If we win watch it on Sky plus , if we loose go on here for a "Tony/ Atkins out " rant

My 'coffee' experiences although limited have been mixed. Unless Mrs Rico fancies a chat about Atkins' core skills and a bit of grip and carry, where 'coffee' might help, it'll be a few beers in a brown bar or two for UR ha ha

I think you will find that the coffee shops are closed to foreigners, unless of course you wanted a cup of coffee. And the red light district is a shadow of it's 1980's glory. The Rijksmuseum was also closed last time I visited.

I have a nasty suspicion that Mrs Rico will be humming that hit from the Pet Shop Boys. Perhaps you could pick up a 'Learn Dutch in a Day' book ?

The coffee shops aren't closed, they have backed down over that issue.

Great place for a relaxing afternoon is Sauna Deco. Yes people are naked in there but it isn't what you think! Check it on Trip Advisor.

Train from Heald Green at 1.33pm then walk to the ground and mill about outside for a bit before going in towards the end of the Cas match probably. I haven't been to the Edinburgh or Cardiff Magic Weekends, but last year was a really good day.

On our tickets it says 'Turnstiles K to B', so we're in the East Stand ...... from what I can find out talking to fans of other clubs (Widnes, KR, Salford, Saints, & Leeds...) they're either in the East or West - are they keeping behind the posts closed off so it looks more full on the telly?

If that's the case, anyone know of any plans for Wire fans to congregate in a particular area?...... or have the RFL pulled off another of their well thought out fantastic plans and are expecting fans from previous matches to get up and leave, vacating the seats near the centre line for the next lot to fill up?
