I work for a company that specialises in testing for drugs within the workplace and it will be part of a policy that if tested positive for illegal substances or legal drugs without a prescription (where required) can lead to gross misconduct.

I agree, and I'm certainly not condoning drug use. If you're stupid enough to take the risk then you deserve a two year ban if caught. Do it again and life ban.

I just find it fundementally wrong that an individual can do something in the privacy of their own home that hurts nobody except maybe the individual and be banned by the RFL for two years. But another individual, with previous for violence, can attack someone in someone elses girlfriends home and receive a slap on the wrist from his own club.

I suppose the difference is that doping is an offence to the game of RL, whereas the other criminal things are nothing to do with the game, there are no rules about them. This has obviously been discussed a lot recently based on events in Australia and here.

Exactly, there may be people who are responsible for someone else's death playing in SL yet Hock gets vilified for some recreational drug use.

These are RL and sports rules that have ben broken.

Leon Pryce didn't get a ban for his criminal actions, yet a player can get a ban for a grapple tackle or a careless high tackle. The two things aren;t linked.

They might be very lucky and get away with it.

I realise Hock has broken the law, but players probably choose recreational drugs over alcohol because it causes less damage to their bodies. Yes I know its illegal, and not condoning drug use.

I've never used Viagra. I'm not sure married folk should, it just attracts trouble really.

The way I see it, you take this pill, you get a boner, wallop and all that. Problem is then, it stays, so there's a likelyhood that you might be expected to go again at some point. I quite like rolling over, thinking to myself "That'll do me 'til Sunday" and knowing that we're all winners really.

I think, If I had viagra, it'd be the same feeling like when I open the fridge, realise that there's a dozen Mullerlights that are going out of date today, and I need to work my way through them. I enjoy the first one, but gradually they become less & less enjoyable.

Missed the point i think. Those papers carry a huge amount of union coverage so obviously would cover drug scandals in that sport. Whereas they would sometimes not even bother to put the results of league games in their paper, you can bet your bottom dollar there will be some column inches devoted to this.
