Not a game of defences today . I must say ,i was confused when Thaler gave Leeds a penalty for what can only have been Thewlis moving off the mark. They scored in that set but is it discretionary whether the ref gives a penalty or just sends the player back to ptb again ?

He was off balance when he played it. Correct decision unfortunately. We conceded following penalties 3 times.

So 5 teams for 2 spots. Right now can’t see us being one of them and hate to say it but not even sure we will beat Castleford. They will come with more enthusiasm than us.

He claims matautia played well....well he took the ball up but offered very little in attack .... He then says bullock has to play well to get in the team... HE HAS unlike dudson... As I said before...hard to get into the team ... really not hard to stay there .... absolute nonsense that doesn't generate competition

Director of what. I had just recently had my prescription changed for my glasses but my eyes work well enough to know Bullock is better than Dudson.

If our future Director of Rugby prefers a slow, old, error prone has-been to a youngster with huge potential at centre and an old, never-was at prop then that isn't a light at the end of the tunnel, it's a freight train.

We did enough to win that game, but we kept making stupid mistakes.
Disappointed that Thewlis didnt score - a top class winger would have done (not having a go at Josh, but overall it wasn't one of his best games imo).
Walkers dropped ball cost us another 6 points.
It could have been 22-6 at half time.

Vaughan and Mikaele caused loads of damage, and Philbin and Harrison carried the ball well.
The left side with Vaughan, Williams, Currie, Ratch and Ashton looked pretty good.

Chambers seems like a decent bloke but pretty much everything he has said since Powell was sacked, and the decisions he has made, leaves me deeply concerned. As does the apparent Burgess influence so far. If I was his current employer, I would be far from happy at the amount of time he seems to be investing in Wire rather than his present job.

How is him investing time in us a problem, I’m sure South's are ok with it - it could have been part of the agreement for him to come in 2024 rather than 2023?
