Too get this right.
He signed for Toronto for the 2021 season. After signing he plays a few first team games for us and shows a lot of promise.
The Toronto team then goes bust making his contract null and void.
On the back of the promise shown, Warrington then offer him a new 2 year to then not play him.
Why resign him?
I can’t get my head around it.
The same with Rob Butler. Are they there to just make the numbers up or the possibility of us having a real bad season with injuries.

This is 100% correct….he was offered a new deal at Warrington before any issues with Toronto came up

I too would like to see him stay, and under the current regime I suspect that he would have received his 2 year contract.

Gutted if he does go but you can't blame him if he has an extra year at Hudds secured. He's got 5 kids to feed i think and that's not cheap.

Some weird things going on at Huddersfield. They were rumoured to have signed Theo Fages in April. It's been concrete news in everything but an official announcement since then. No announcement at this point still. Saints players have posted messages saying bye, Saints have confirmed he won't be at the club and Huddersfield still haven't announced it.

You'll have almost no overseas players next year. You will be replacing Hill if he goes.

It's a weird psychology of some fans to write off next season when this one isn't even over, unless it's because they already wrote off this season last season.........

As an outsider looking in, Chris Hill is so reliable, he’s still one of the best props around, while half the clubs are trying to strengthen the front row, it’s a strange decision not to sign him up.

Struggling to see how Philbin will fit into Powell’s plans. He ain’t a 13 and not a starting prop. Lost some form from previous seasons, if I was Philbin I’d be either working extra hard in training or be a very worried man.

We have let Hill and Sita go, we have no idea who will replace them and you conclude that Philbin’s in danger of being sacked off? I would come to the exact opposite conclusion, he is as safe as it is possible to be!

I like Philbin but he isn’t a starting prop not does he give the minutes, size, reliability or game time of Hill. If the club think that is a ‘fix’ for the front row (which I’m sure they don’t) then we’ll be in for a tough 2022. Letting Hill go requires a like for like replacement or as close to that as possible. Looking forward to the announcement of a new top quality prop.

So Philbins place is safe because Wire have let two players go? As I said Philbin has to prove himself, because this season he’s been very poor. So it’s up to himself to make Powell make him a starting 13.

He ain’t a 13, I like a loose forward to play like a back but hit like a forward. Like Grix or Westerman. Unfortunately Philbin ain’t either
