| You can put one at loose because Grix is unlikely to be playing there, or here!

| I don't understand that really.
We've stuck by Grix (and Ben E) through their injuries and - unless their injuries are such that it's affecting their play - why get rid?
A few weeks ago they were both being touted as the reason why we hadn'tdone so well this season.
Grix has missed a lot of playing time over the years with some horrific injuries but if he is at the level he last played at then I've no problem keeping him as he can play at second row and 13 as well as centre and in the halves at a push.
If Ben W is going to prop then Grix is our best 2nd rower - Currie will develop more next season but I'd like him to have a bit more of a mongrel about him.

| it makes perfect sense really... if you're having a proper rebuild, you're probably best getting rid of injury prone players... They take up cap space and leave you short.
It's tough on the players in question, but there's no room for sentiment.

| He came to everyone's attention while playing centre at Salford, thats when Wire signed him. Play him at centre and see if he can regain that form!!

| Ratchfords shirt number at Salford was 6. He spent most of his games playing as a centre.
The 2 half backs at the time were Matty Smith & Daniel Holdsworth.
It was only when Matty Smith went to Wigan did he play at 6.

He's going to be good for us at centre based on tonight's showing.

| He's not a decent centre he's okay at it. He played behind a dominant pack and like the rest of the team in all positions, looked fantastic.
But still that doesn't make him a centre.
He won't get enough share of the ball at centre to show his total best.

Based on every single time he's played centre.
It's his best position.

| He is a half all day long. He played well v Saints but was still 2nd fiddle to Atkins game.
Before the last month Ratch was getting ripped in all positions by many of you.
Many saying he should be moved on.
Make your minds up. So many short memories on here. A week in RL really is a long time.
Ratch ought to be 6 and Gidley FB.
We need to go out and find a quality 3/4 to replace Bridge.

Agreed if we are not going to buy another centre. Russel at FB & Gidley with Sandow.

| Atkins and Ratchford for me, against Sts Atkins looked confident with strength, pace and great defence, Ratchford was given more space and was elusive has good hands and defence.

| ....and hasn't that been said before about Ratch when he played FB?
Can nobody on here see the woods beyond the trees?
Everyone is trying to give him a category.
He's a centre, he's a FB, he's a spare part, he's a hb, he's a loose.
The guy is just a quality player with a ability to cover many positions well. That is the very reason he ought to be in a premier position to utilise his craft best.

| He'll get plenty of ball in the centres, plus we have the extra kicking options similar to Moon at Leeds.

| Il admit I was in the 'Ratch for Full Back' brigade for a while. But this year, his defence as the last man has been terrible. It is no co-incidence that our best performances this year have been with Russell/Johnson at full back and Stef in the centres. With a decent half back picking the gaps for him, he could be just what we need at centre next season!! His best performance of the year for me last night.

Gidley has played in the halves most of this season and Patton is developing. And Russell is our best FB.
