| Do you not think that Dwyer has a weakness in his game when he turns his shoulders almost forty-five degrees passing one way? It's fine when he knows his face of direction and adjusts to be perfectly perpendicular with the half-way or try-lines. But if somehow he ends up arcing in toward the sidelines (and - even worse - is late making the pass) that shoulder twist is in danger of meaning he propels the ball forward rather than behind.
Maybe it's a bad habit from the juniors, some kind of "tic" etc.

I agree Judder that there is still all to play for, assuming we make the 8 then as long as we aren't faced with a Herculean task to catch 4th then who knows...it's only warming up

| Positives
1. Our normal issues of being camped out at the line and just swinging the ball left and right with no clue weren't apparent tonight. We attacked with purpose, and crossed the line several times. The speed we moved up the field for the England (no) try was something I've not seen for a long while.
While having tries chalked off for silly mistakes is frustrating, I'd rather that than watch the clueless attacking dross ending in a grubber kick that we've been subjected to for most of this season.
2. Brad Dwyer. Previously we've had the luxury of bringing Moz and Monaghan/Higham off the bench, who could change the game when they came on, rather than just affording the first choice guys a rest. For me Dwyer falls into this category. He can change the tempo of a game. He showed it again tonight against Super League's best.
3. Defense. Masoe's try was a missed tackle from Westwood, and Turner's was just a case of throwing it around in the last couple of minutes. Can't really blame our defense for those. Apart from that, the game was played at the right end of the pitch, particularly in the second half. Saints didn't really look threatening after the first 10 minutes, and despite us gifting them countless penalties in the first half, they couldn't capitalise.

The Masoe missed tackle that broke the line was through Ratchford.
I really like Dwyer but he doesn't seem to have a great engine and seems to tire rapidly. He needs to work on his endurance in the off season.

| I have never seen as much persistent offside go unpunished since last time we played Saints & how Masoe stayed on the pitch is beyond me...he threw a punch & whether he hit his own player accidentally or not the intent was still there to punch an opponent. At the very least it should have been put on report. It's ok saying the ref let the game flow but if rules of the game are not upheld they may as well be scrapped & we can call ourselves Rugby Union again.

| It was Ratchford and it was a pure example why he should have been rested. You play an injured guy at this level of intensity he gets found out, regardless how important he is to the team.
I said prior to the gave I would rest him, it was written all over him at Wakefield that he needed a break.
He made two calamities through a loose carry and fatigue but worse, he offered little contribution throughout the rest of the game.
It is was another TS mistake. The team are getting fingers pointed but TS shouldn't be exempt. He made at least three coaching errors yesterday.
1.Playing Ratchford
2.Taking off Dwyer in the second half when we had momentum, but the time he brought him back on, we hadn't got the time to turn the game....perhaps that is two coaching errors.
3. When the decision was made to go for the penalty goal, we should have subbed on all of our biggest drivers on the field of play to keep possession and get yardage for a drop goal.

You win the prize for the most ridiculous post I have seen in the last 5 years!
When players from BOTH sides start complaining you know he has got it wrong.
Perhaps you may want to explain why the two half's resulted in such differing number of penalties, and yes Wire benefited greatly from this, the Penny try would not have been given in the first half, at the tackle Burns tried to milk a penalty for us interfering( and I think we did!) but dip stick Child just waved it away.
can honestly say the first halfs referring was very very poor, too many wrong calls and too many poor guesses ( For both sides but the majority against Warrington) . Somebody had a word with him at half time. He refereed the second half much better and it resulted in a much better game.

You're funny when you get a bee in your bonnet about something RD. I keep reading you banging on about Ratchford being busted. Why do you think he is injured? Are you referring to the thigh pad he was wearing for the last few weeks?
That was gone last night, and I see no ill effects in his play to suggest that he either a) needs resting, or b) is injured.

I've never seen Masoe show any aggression towards anyone, ever. He's a Saint. The 'punch' was a bizarre incident, but daft as it sounds I don't even think he intended to punch anyone. Greenwood was in his way to start with. I think his hand was trapped initially and the big WWE style raising of the hand was a result of freeing his hand, the rest was gravity/big man falling.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone quite like him for size and strength (and runs both) and that includes Joe Vagana, Vila Matautia, Willie Mason etc.

Knock on as he lost control of the ball against Harrison's knee. And before you say Harrison can't use his knee.. He was trying to stop the ball being put down, not use them in a foul play type of way and the fact that Roby was so low he will always connect with the knee/leg area.
Lose control of the ball used to be a knock on unless there's a rule change I don't know about.

AS you say, he was trying to stop the ball being put down, and knocked the ball out. Roby recovered it and scored a try. There really was no other decision that could have been given.
For the record, Penny was about 2 yards offside at the play the ball before his interception try.

You can't seriously suggest that Harrison purposely knocked the ball out with his shin, all he was doing was trying to stop Roby getting over the line, seeing as how Roby was practically on his knees what else was Harrison supposed to tackle him with? He didn't swing his boot or anything, he just put his leg in the way. Saying Harrisons tackle was illegal is like blaming Kevin Penny for having his foot underneath the ball for Burgess' no try the other week. Roby lost the ball in collision, it touched Harrison, ergo no try.
