that is true but i do not think that carlos or smith had anything to do with that and i think it was put up by the college they attended some years afterwards.
It would certainly be one of those things where i think the australian authorities ought to make some amends.

Nothing. I don't know why I did it, I just fancied a whistle. I thought they're playing my song up there and I fancy whistling along, that was about it. "

Also, Shaun Edwards, if only for his black tape over the British Coal logo. Class.

| I always wanted to be Steve Highway playing playground Footy.
but I never really had a hero.....John Bevan, Kevin Keegan, and Muhammed Ali were the sports stars that stood out for me as a young kid....
But Niki Lauda was the most Amazing sportsman I had heard of from those times.
He was given the last rites while in a coma after his nurburgring crash and then raced again 6 weeks later.(unable to blink due to his burns !!)
But No suprise Ayrton Senna is still my only sporting Hero

Hehe. I remember him being asked. 'What did Princess Anne say to you?'
'She said she hopes our children will be white'.
Classic!

| Tom Brady.
Can I ask, being a young 'un, I don't remember too much about it, but was Ellery Hanley ever captain of GB/England and, if so, was he the first Black captain of a British/English National Sporting team? I assumed he would've be captain at one point, even if just for the odd match, but he was around the international scene at the time of Mike Greg, so he very well may not have been.

Ellery was captain of GB, appointed for the 1988 aussie tour in which we finally beat them in the 3rd test in sydney- after a 10 year wait- i can still see Greg scoring THAT try .
But the name you need to know and look up is CLIVE SULLIVAN - a unique player and if youve been to the city of HULL you'll understand why

| Steve Soper (a touring car racing driver) was my young childhood hero. In my teens it was Ayrton Senna.
My other sporting favourites as a child were David Gower, John McEnroe and Steve Cram.
Of Warrington players - favourites were Steve Hesford, Mike Greg and Andy Gregory when he played for us.
