I think Chase would suit Warringtons style a little more than Wigans, Wires is a little more free flowing compared to the set play style of Wigan in offence. I dont see Rangi Chase in the organiser mould.

This very much sounds like the downfall of WCW. there seems to be an ideo of getting players just so others can't have them.

We simoply can't afford chase (I would wager) as well as waterhouse, moz, westwood , monas and brett. We already have a team of stars!

Wigan have signed Ben Flower, Gil Dudson, Gareth Thomas and Lauaki. Shaun Wane will be head coach with Iestyn Harris as his assistant.

Lauaki could be a very useful impact prop off the bench with the right coaching and using him the right way. A bit like we used to use Maurie.

Gareth Thomas appears to be a move to sign a squad player for cover whilst bringing some commercial value. Although it remains to be seen how much that value may be worth.

Just what Wigan need really, a forward with a bit of niggle.

i have it on very good word that Rangi is a done deal but he wanted to wait till end of castlefords season to be announced and this isnt the word of someone in a pub who heard it of his dads sister in laws nephews brothers aunty! i know youre all gonna say rubbish and i too previously have dismissed it as a wild rumour but i trust this person to be accurate if you remember rightly i said waterhouse about 12 weeks before announced! this one has just been kept quiet!

think myler would make a good hooker but a bit too light maybe would go against him again Rangi is very good at his footwork and distribution and would make a good hooker but would be a waste of his stand off/ half back talent!

well in my opinion would make an ideal replacement for briers but needs to learn a couple of things that a season with briers would help like his kicking could be rounded off a bit and his thinking game isnt up to briers standard but he still has youth on his side aswell

No probs on the salary cap or playing front, he'd be a like for like replacement for Jon Clarke as in he'd be our new utility player that could play a few positions.

Both similar in styles, its just with Rangi Chase you get a younger version of Jon Clarke.
