however lose week 1 you'd be at home week 2 (against 5/6/7/icon_cool.gif but you could be 'picked' for week 3, and be away

however i don't understand if you'd be at home is say:

1st bt 4th (and won second game)
2nd lst 3rd (and won second game)

1st picked 4th, would 3rd keep home advantage?

if they did, it'd make even more of a mockery of the playoffs

But the Leeds away is the week before the semi and Wigan will want revenge for the manner of the QF defeat and Leeds will have 1 eye on the Cup so possibly an easier game for Wigan than it may have been had both been out of the cup?

We still have to play Leeds , Saints , Wigan - I don't think we will all them 3. If we do then I'm confident of a Grand Final Appearance.

Wigan play - Wire , Leeds , Both Hull teams away and Huddersfield at home. I think one of the Hull teams will beat Wigan. If Wigan can manage wins against us and Leeds then top spot's there's.

Saint's have Wire , Leeds - We can beat Saints and I think that could be the game we win. I don't think they will beat Leeds.

I'm very confident we can/will beat Wigan away.

Finishing second is pretty much equal to finishing first as far as the play-off draw is concerned. That should be our goal, great to finish first but not essential. Even finishing second will be an improvement record: no team has finished 10th one year and improved to 2nd in the following year of SL. The 'business end of the season' the play-offs themselves, is where we need to turn it on - after a second successive Challenge Cup win, of course.

I would like to see us show what we can really do on our day like against Hudds in the cup.

Since then we have been pretty much grinding the win out.

Think we've got the toughest end to the season of the 3. In a season of pleasant surprises there just might be a few more in Tony's bag. 2nd place would be a huge achievement for us, 1st would beggar belief for me. Still think we'll win one or the other.

Of course it counts, that would be an amazing result. I just don't think wire will do it in the play-offs though. At first I thought wire would be the biggest threat to Leeds title but after thinking about how clinical Saints and Leeds are come play-off time I can't help but think they will beat you even at your place. We have also been awesome in the play-offs for the last 3 seasons but have just run out of steam. I hope I'm wrong cause I would actually love a Wigan v Wire final because saints and Leeds have been there for too long! It's killing the event, they didn't even get near filling OT last year.

It is for others to break duopoly, not for Saints and Leeds to fail.

The problem might be the balance of priorities between the semi and the league. Last year it was an easy choice, i'm kinda glad to say it's not this year!

Yes they did and in two seasons won the League Leaders shield aswell.

Yes you have until you meet one of the tougher teams then you seem to just not be good enough, I don't think its a case of "running out of steam" either as you do it recently in the Challenge Cup as well.

We won the league leaders shield for four seasons on the trot (2005, 2006, 2007 and 200icon_cool.gif. In those four seasons we also made it to the Grand Final, winning the first and of course losing the other three and we won the Challenge Cup three times on the trot in those four seasons also (2006, 2007 and 200icon_cool.gif.

We won f all last year and likely will do the same again this year!

Sorry to be picky as I accept that's a list of achievement Warrington can only dream of at the moment but nonetheless I must point out that Saints did not make the Grand Final in 2005...

1st place is in no ones hands.Who is to say we dont wobble and win no games or Wigan wobble and win no games.Lets just take each game as it comes then after what would have been a very hard season.We can say this and that,we sholud have won here or there.Anything above 10th will be seen as archievment in my eyes.Its all about building, improving along the way.Which Ts has been doing and the players seem to raise to the challenge he has set them.

Am no good at maths but surely we cant slip down that far.

Anything other than a top two finish at this stage would be disappointing IMO.
