Those are perfectly reasonable opinions. I don't know whether anything "drastic" needs to be done but playing injured/unfit players( Bridge) and out of position players (lots) needs to stop...

I can understand peoples frustration, but we need to be logical here. Currently Patton is playing for Crusaders, two levels below SL, and from what I can glean he is not dominating the play like a Danny Brough or Lee Briers. Asking him to step up and produce the goods at SL level looks a very tall order atm.

As for Clark, if he wants to play in the NRL and pick up a good wage, he needs to show he can produce the goods. A mediocre season in SL is not going to impress any NRL coaches. It therefore makes no sense for him to show a complete disdain for his current role, and furthermore would completely alienate the rest of the squad.

Been looking for that interview Clark did in which he went on about the NRL without once bringing anything about his new club...can't for the love of me find it, i remember it bit can't find it.

The one striking thing with Clark is last year, watch his highlights, watch the games he played in...always a smile on his face, really enjoyed playing.

I have a few mates from Cas and they are texting me every week saying how much it kills them seeing us not use the lad properly, he really seems frustrated too.

Clark was arguably the player of the Four Nations, because he was allowed to play with that freedom which back in 2011 Tony Smith used to pontificate about each week. We are currently playing like a dull Richard Agar club.

Lose to Cas on monday and we will be 9th , or in the unlikely event of a draw between Catalan and Widnes , 10th.

It was only a few weeks back that the 4th placed team had their chief twittering that he had 'had enough'.

It's just a very tightly placed league. 1 win puts you into 3rd.

I don't think anybody would say we are - However, back in 2002 we had a squad which suffered from a lack of investment and the level of performance it gave was almost inevitable.

Now, we have a squad which, though undoubtedly in decline, is definitely underperforming... People are rightly worried because its been slipping since 2011 and not just 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Just noticed we are now down to seventh and realistically already too far adrift to catch up now to Leeds and St Helens.

Salford are up to fourth!

No reason why with 2/3rds of a season left results won't change. We are still to play Leeds, huddersfield. And hull dc. All who have been close games with Warrington.

I think Clark is the issue. Big money signing. With little to show for it. Thinking of dropping him from my fantasy team.

cas and waket at home are games we must win..not expecting to much from wigan and leeds away..are these 2 away games on sky

We could take Chris hill back if he's being wasted?? Seriously from a neutral your team has just got old and nobody has been replaced!! Think Simms and Clark have really let you down! Probably on paper the 2 best signings of the season but just haven't worked!

That 2002 "squad" (bar Briers, Burns and one or two others) had all the RL ability of the Dagenham Girl Pipers. Langer, Gee, Nikau, Kidwell etc had all gone home. Van de Velde (he did have good contacts) had gone earlier, and Peter Deakin had left for Sale (iirc). These were replaced by Championship standard players, and a coach who was as much use as t1ts on a fish.

As I said in the Custard Smelling thread, our transfer policy since 2011 has been, at best, poor. Veteran players not replaced. Incoming players not playing up to standard, and youth policy lads hitting the heights straight away, then fading just as quick.

There's blame to be taken in all quarters, for our recent malaise. It's about time these people looked themselves in the mirror.

As an aside, when we're playing cack, we always seem to bring up that Godawful 2002 season. Now, for those of a similar vintage to myself, does anyone else recall the "detritus" served up in the 84-85 season, under Reggie ####ing Bowden. IIRC, didn't we lose 6 on the bounce, and then just stagger to safety, on the next to last game of the season to avoid relegation. That was atrocious stuff, considering we'd finished 3rd the previous year, behind the 2 Hull clubs, who were dominant, at the time

I have to be brutally honest watching Clark just reminds how peerless Mick Monaghan was. Even when his knees had gone.

For me, there seems to be absolutely ZERO team spirit in a Warrington shirt, atm.

I know I'm contradicting myself here (frankly, this sight on a pitch makes me want to sick carrots), but watching Pies v Stains on Friday, whenever either team forced the other into a mistake, 5 or 6 teammates would sprint to the player who caused the mistake and give him a slap on the back/hug/French kiss. They looked like they'd die for each other, such was their desire to get a win, in a high intensity match. Our lot look like they wouldn't piddle on each other, if they were on fire (they'd more likely poor paraffin on each other, and shout "burn, motherlover"icon_wink.gif.


When we first did that "running onto the pitch as a team" thing, before matches a few years ago, it looked like there was a camaraderie between team mates. In the last few weeks, we seem like a rabble who have no trust each other.

I think it's a lack of leadership, a good leader doesn't just lead, he binds.

The group run on for both halves & the group run off for half time were the first thing Smith introduced to try & tell us they were all singing from the same hymn sheet post Cullen.
