| Quote ="ratticusfinch"Firstly I think the legend calls are for him as a person not a player. He’s widely accepted as a very nice fella and good on him, as a supporter I would prefer a horrible sod who was a better player though.
Secondly I don’t think we made the most of J Clark. Although clearly limited he was very good at getting into contact, drawing in two or three and offloading but we very rarely seemed to utilise that side of his game. He also saved his best performance for against Toulouse when we really needed it.'"
Clark finished the season pretty strongly, being one of our better performers in the last half dozen games which, given the generally dreadful performance of our back three forwards this year, makes me wonder why he hardly featured until then. Although no world beater he was streets ahead of the likes of Matt Davis.

His chase down of Lolohea at Huddersfield recently, over 75 metres revealed a turn of pace that I didn`t realise that Jason Clark possessed.

I'd get that down to one player after the drum banging shenanigans!!!

To be fair, I'm nearly 50 and I reckon I'd stand a good chance of catching lolohea

Oy, leave the legend that is Matt Davis alone, or we may have to have words young fella me lad.

Briers and Westwood certainly, morley I would say is a wire legend and Nat wood (for his antics) in the superleague era. Monoghans are a good shout but probably fall just short. Jiffy and Mike gregory before superleague.

You can do as you like. I will still pass my opinion on the relative merits of a player based on watching other players in the same position for 40 years.
Nice guy maybe, but never legend status. He will be forgotten in the mists of time.

| Super nice guy, but what did he actually do over 4 years as an overseas sub player playing small minutes that a decent player from the championship couldn’t have done? Waste of a quota space, neither a prop or second row. Super nice guy though. Peak wire style signing of the last 5 years sadly.

| Nominating Nat Wood because of his antics is peak Wire too. Did he go to Wigan in the end? I seem to think he didn't, although he almost did. I hope not.

| Nat Wood was a very classy player as well to be fair to him. Did we release him so we could sign Michael Sullivan?

There's a possibility of a complete shower being referred to, intermittently, along with some outbreaks of thunder on the forum. Temperatures may range from frosty to reaching boing point. There will be some small hope, that the sun will shine out of a rear end in the dug out (or whatever the modern equivalent is these days).

Was pleasing to see Jason Clark get a nice send off like that, he’s not the biggest or the baddest but I thought he always tried his heart out and gave 100% on the field for us..'"
Disagree. He made 13 metres from 8 carries on Saturday. If that's trying your heart out then no wonder we've won jack poop for years.

| Only 2 Warrington players can ever be described as “Legends” in the true sense of the word, Brian Bevan, and Bob Eccles
Both capable of doing the length of the field in the last minute as the first.

He had a thing where ken Kelly would run over the ball at acting Hb and Bob would pick the ball up and plunge over the try line..pretty sure this got stopped by the rfl

Yes it was very effective. I think they changed the rules the season after.

| Greg Mackey my fav, toughest player pound for pound to ever wear the shirt. A midget and got BATTERED every single game with cheap shots etc, I used to cringe, but he always got up. Super skilful too. RIP.
