As if that demonstrates anything, he was the greatest halfback (arguably) in the history of the game and was selected a few times at hooker due to the presence of senior players in the squad . You really are hard of understanding sometimes.
Or are you claiming Johns was really a specialist hooker?
That is like saying Ratchford is a hooker because he once played in that position. Should we bring back Chris Bridge for the role? |

Are you suggesting Wheeler should have been given a new contract.

I wasn't referring to Wheeler who was on a short term contract but there are other long standing players being/ been quietly shuffled out of the door.
It is a business but players should be shown the same commitment they have shown to the club. |

It is not sentiment at all. Just making sure a player is fully fit before releasing them under a duty of care. |

This seems to be a re-hash of Nosey Parker's League Express comments. From what I recall he said that the player had refused to sign a contract with Saints and then surmised that he would sign with us because we were after him last year. I suppose Currie will need cover for the start of next year, but Wilde, Julien and Livett would find it difficult to break into the BR after that. Wouldn't a new winger be a better option ? (if we can find one).

Wire had an interest in Andre Sav when he was about to be a free agent, but he played us about to get an improved deal at Saints.
Is he worth a 6 figure salary plus a signing on fee and agent costs?
I cannot see us in for him after that.
If we do move, I would imagine it'll be towards the end of next season when he maybe out of contract again. It's no big loss if he gets signed up elsewhere in the mean time...we are pretty good in the back row.
