People keep asking if he will stay or go but in an interview with smith awhile ago, he said he's not been offered a new contract and doesn't know what plans he has for next year. So why would he suddenly re-sign him? There's been loads of props bopping about free that have been signed all over super league, so they were available and we did nothing. If smith had a prop on his shopping list he would have got one by now. Unless he has had a prop lined up all a long and just hasn't announced it yet then I'd say Westwood or Harrison to prop and Ben Evans back in the fold and that will be it for next year.

I'm generally wary of stats but look at big Roy's contribution to any game at random and you'll see damning evidence of a workrate that would make Father Christmas' working year seem like slave labour. On the other hand, open your eyes, pay attention (blink and you'll miss it) and watch him "in action".

He may well get quick PTBs but when you're taking the ball up half a dozen times a match that's hardly an advantage. Allayed to this, he never promotes the ball in the tackle, when he does decide to pass he has all the ability of a RU flanker after a lock-in in his local, he has the stamina of a pound bakery season ticket holder and is about as vocal as a mute monk during a vow of silence.

Think that covers it. I'd rather put Kevin Penny on a lard and KFC diet for 6 months and line him up at no.8 next year.

IF we were signing a top of the range British or Antipodean prop it's perfectly plausible that the guy involved and his current club would rather keep it to themselves until after their season is over. Not that I'm expecting news of a big signing (despite a rumour I heard a few weeks back), but just saying.

I was gutted with wheeler as he does have shed loads of potential, and he's had some incredible games (at saints). But he has played in a massively disappointing squad this year and yet again more injuries. He is injury prone so never gets a good run of games, but I would let him go seasons end.

Personally, forgetting salary, I would go for England over Asotasi every single time. The fact that England is on a fraction of the salary Asotasi is, reflects the ridiculous situation we are in, which surely must have a detrimental effect on the dressing room...? So I half agree with you RD!!

Using those stats others have posted on here. If after immediately catching a pass, England fell over facing the the opposition, whilst holding the ball above his head, it's likely he would make more yards than he does when he runs with it!!

Roy has just epitomised everything he has brought to us in his first half performance. Aside from his errors, Wigan are targeting him because they know he doesn't give a crap and looks like a sh@thouse. Tompkins pushed his head into him after the play the ball- no reaction. He runs the ball back and starts sidestepping to avoid heavy contact, and to round it Clubbs targets him (because he knows Assotasi doesn't give a crap) and Ass s out again. Get him on the next flight tomorrow.

He is not remotely interested and seemingly feels no shame about showing it.

Ah well crapatasi won't be here next year so that's a bonus at least
