| IIRC we won a scrum against the head and then scored from the resulting play, against Wakefield, on the opening game at the Halliwell Jones.

I've just watched this again on YT. How good were we that season of 2011.

| As did I. For me that was one of our best displays in the Super League era. Monaghan was unplayable that day. Briers at his best as well.

| Carvell's interception try against saints, out-running James Graham from 50 metres out, that was pretty epic haha.
Nat Wood making Radlinski look like a fool with a dummy before scoring under the sticks and running off down the tunnel, round and out through another, Benny had thought about chasing him to congratulate him but thinks 'sod it' when he see's him disappear, haha. He had an absolute stormer that match, hat-trick, jabbed Faz in the face, set up a couple try's too that night.
Briers being caught on one of the referee's mics saying (about the ball) "I can't kick this, it's flat as !"

We were awesome that season. Certainly our best under Smith and must be one of the best Warrington sides of all time.

| Kevin Penny home against Wigan taking Chris Ashton on the outside, sheer pace and balance, the ups and downs of rugby life! Brian Johnson PF, too many from Parry Gordon to pick one.

I think the story with Brent Grose was that he was off contract at South Sydney Rabbitohs and came to Europe to go backpacking in the off season. When we wanted to talk to him about signing for us, he was already in Europe so it was a short flight over to come to see us. Something like that.

| Talking about Allan Langers cheeky ball steal off Tommy Martyn reminded me of another Langer moment when there was a scrum, he dummied the feed, ran around the back of the scrum and set off with the ball without ever having put it in. The referee (think it was Presley) caught him though and made him come back and feed the scrum properly.
I think the single most exciting moment was on Andrew Johns' debut for us, the excitement and noise in the crowd at kick off was phenomenal. Leeds fumbled Johns' kick off, and then straight from the scrum we went out wide to the right hand side and Fa'afili scored. What an incredible moment.

| Hi everyone, first post on here been a reader for too long!
My magic moment and that lifelong memory is Chissys famous try against Bradford at Wilderspool 1982, he dummied to break the defensive line on halfway then an even more outrageous one to dummy Keith Mumby an international capped full back to race under the posts at the railway end - unbeliveable . I raced on to the pitch at the end of the game to pinch his tie ups with a mate, we only got one so cut it in half to have a bit each, have still got mine to this day!

Yes yes yes.
This. ....the best try I ever saw.
I had the good fortune to tell Chissy many times too!
I was ball boy that day too and only me, the ref and Roger O'Mahoney kept up with him!
