| How much would the tickets have to be for people on here to not go on Saturday?
Also, for those who sit in the North Stand, are you planning on going in the East or South Stand on Saturday to save a few quid?
£19 & £5 would be my limit and as stated I'm thinking of not going at that price. If it was full price for Juniors, I definitely wouldn't be going.

As I said, it's not the ticket cost, it's the pointless nature of the game for the top 4 (and I'm sure many Wigan/Hudds fans will feel the same about their game) - I'm not going Saturday but will almost certainly spend £19 (and more!) in the pub instead; When it actually becomes a 'knockout' situation, I'll go ...

I agree with you regarding the pointlessness of the game and the question is not really for you . It's aimed more to those who say £19/27 is a good price for a Round 1 play off game. But would you go if the tickets were a tenner, a fiver or free?

| It's relative in my opinion. I wouldn't pay more than £20 to go on Saturday, but if I had to I'd pay the £40 you mentioned above to attend a week three game at the same ground between the same two sides.
That's the flawed nature of the current format. Week one isn't very interesting. That's also why I suggested it would be a good idea for all sides to agree before the season starts that a season ticket should get you admission to a week one play off game. You could even stretch this further to suggest you can choose your game, so although obviously 99% of club season ticket holders of the eight involved will choose their game, you could hypothetically (based on this season's standings and this week's fixtures) have Widnes fans going to Warrington or St Helens, Bradford fans going to Huddersfield, etc, just to enjoy the match if they wish to despite their own teams failing to qualify for the post-season games. It would boost attendances across the board.
I'm only suggesting this for week one, not the whole series which obviously hots up as it progresses, but I would regard it as a positive initiative for all supporters.

| Is £19 too high a price to pay to watch such a big game? Will any of the top 4 not want to go all out to win & avoid the extra game & a potential banana skin?
Great value for money IMO.
Hudds have cut prices as they can't draw crowds. Hulls is quid less, Saints £4 less. These are the last home games those clubs will have in 2013 so they need to maximise attendances.

For me this statement passes the threshold for not being a true fan of Warrington Wolves.
Those who cant go because money is tight , or they have to work or have family care commitments , I can understand & sympathise with.
But the above says to me 'I simply cant be bothered'.

No, I "can't be bothered" , because last year the players weren't bothered, the coach wasn't bothered, in fact, apart from Sky, none of the top 4 teams want this nonsense fixture .....
As for your opening statement - there's a big difference between being a fan and not having the brains to know when I'm being fleeced ....

| Ok so there's a 2nd chance for the loser but being fleeced? A top quality match between 2 top quality teams and £19 is being fleeced?
I'll tell you what I'm doing that day, working till 2am and I'd love to forfeit a days wage just to have the day off then the fuel costs to get up then another £19 to get in then the fuel back.
Fleece me anyday of the week

| I'm going... I think Watching Warrington is quite good...we are a reasonable team that plays a reasonably exciting brand of an Exciting sport. Leeds are a big city club, who themselves are also quite good.....it will be a good atmosphere...not as good as Catalan away on Saturday but I shelled out almost £3,000 for the family to attend that game so I expected a good experience.... I can get heavily discounted tickets for the north stand through work but I cant be bothered I'll get south stand tickets last minute pay full whack and enjoy it.......
in short Rugby League is not ....football is...thats why I watch rugby league generally whatever the cost and Stopped watching football.
there may be a game mid season where I think I could do with saving a few quid.... but skip a play off game against Leeds...jesus wept.......

BogBrushHead is the guy that said he would give up his season ticket and never go to a Warrington game again if we signed Gareth Hock, so this latest outburst doesn't surprise me either.
May as well just give up the season ticket now.

| 19 pounds is fine for the standing areas but 27.50 will deter a lot in the north stand and there will be a lot of empty seats. There is limited capacity in the south so that everyone could pay 19 pound. I think if the club offered the north stand seats to season ticket holders for say 20- 22 pounds they would have a few takers. Losing 5 pounds per ticket or losing 27.50 for an empty seat?

| Ask Bradford, Salford, Wakefield, Castleford, London or Widnes fans if they think it would be a pointless game.
I'm starting to agree with the 'arrogant fans' tag we are getting lumped with.

| Seems like the weekly rounds of pointlessness is being replaced by the weekly rounds and the first playoff game.
In the next few years, if anyone doesn't get to the Grand Final it will just be pointless.
I despair at times, I really really do.

Will your drunken "mate" with the smoke bomb be giving it a miss too?
Jeez, some behaviour from a guy that bangs the drum about what a true fan is all about and how you go to all of the Warrington matches.

| How is it arrogant to question the value of this weekend's fixture? Neither team can be knocked out and both teams will play another home match during this play off series no matter what the result. The same applies to the Huddersfield V Wigan fixture.
The format is fundamentally flawed and that makes people think about how much they're prepared to spend attending.
I'm going, but I'd be more excited about it - regardless of opponent - if it was a genuine knock out fixture.

| It was about 10,000 V Saints in week one last year, but I reckon Leeds will bring less fans than Saints did and this doesn't have the "local rival" factor, so about 8,000 I reckon.

Challenge Cup games are genuine knock out games & very few turn up for them ,so i don't expect many next week either when it will be competitive .

| We've had people bleating on all season about how the normal season is just preparation for the play-offs, now we arrive at the play-offs and people now are whingeing on about the format, which they've known about all season. Ask the fans of those Clubs who didn't make the top 8 whether they're bothered about the format, I'm sure they would just be grateful to get in the 8 and maybe see a couple more games.
I'm driving over on Saturday morning and staying over with family. I wouldn't miss it for the world. It should be an absolute cracker of a game.
