| Awful game, Wigan weren't even tested. They coasted and scored 46. Looked solid in defence although again they weren't tested.
I think this maybe the Catalans finished this year, that could have destroyed their confidence going into next week against what I'd expect to be Leeds.

| I suspect the Catalan players are all sat at home having a rest and preparing for their home game next week. In the meantime they hired a bunch of lookalikies to fulfill their fixture this weekend at the Piedome.

| I don't see why people are complaining about the playoffs.
Today justice was done the best team in the country that were champions of the league showed why they were champions.

| Would a team finishing fourth want a week off and head into a other away game in two weeks time or want an extra home game that would bring in an extra 14000 x (random guess)€20 plus matchday revenue?

| So what happens to Catalans now then ? Do they get home advantage next week or do they lose that because they lost ?

| Should the Vincent Duport try not have technically been given last night? I know it hits Dureau and then he gets it but was it not classed as a forward pass rather than a knock on because it didn't hit the floor or a Wigan player?

It wasn't intended as a pass therefore it was a knock-on. Same applies for players that drop the ball but kick it on the half volley (aka drop kick) hence why McGuire's try was ruled out the other year.

Fair enough. Didn't Cummings go on the radio after that no try though and say that it should've been given?

A very good question indeed, whilst you consider the possible answers, consider this one.
Would a team sitting at the top of the league want to beat their nearest rivals with three more games still to play, thus effectively winning the league. When the last one of your games would be at home in a local derby where you would be crowned champions in front of a crowd of almost 22,000 ?
See you at OT, if you don't bottle it (again)

| If anyone is interested, I believe the crowd at Wigan last night was a little over 7,200 ( excluding the dog).

What do you call Wigan's duo-capitulation against Saints?

Quite simple, "two losses"
What do you call your non existant play off sucess ?
The nearest you lot ever get to OT is playing Salford away once a year.

No, its around 11,600 for SL games. Your 'friend' probably picked his data from a site that includes all home games, so including the cc, but I can't be bothered to reply to the twit.
My concern is not the low attendance at Wigan specifically, but the low attendances we have been getting for all the early rounds of the playoffs and the cc. ( I think there was an early cc round where Hudds only got 2,700 ?) I expect we will also get a lowish crowd today at the HJ, which when you consider its likely to be a hard fought match between local rivals, its rather surprising.

Thanks.... We are used to comments about whether we are there, whether we leave early.. blah blah blah.. I'm still surprised at your figure though...
Last night was a dead rubber really, with many fans expecting an easy win and saving money for, hopefully, future games....

My apollogies, the figure was taken from the above, but the total attendance has been divided by 14 (inc magic w/e)
the true figure is, as you say 11,451.
On that basis your core base of home fans must be in the region of around 10,000 (give or take) so with Saints bringing 2/3 k today the gate should be in excess of 12,000.
