It wasn't intended as a pass therefore it was a knock-on. Same applies for players that drop the ball but kick it on the half volley (aka drop kick) hence why McGuire's try was ruled out the other year.

( I think there was an early cc round where Hudds only got 2,700 ?) I expect we will also get a lowish crowd today at the HJ, which when you consider its likely to be a hard fought match between local rivals, its rather surprising.
