As a sport RL cannot be seen to condone the actions of Hock, Tuson, Magennis and for that matter McCarthy-Scarsbrook. In that respect I believe the ref was right to dismiss three of them, his only mistake was in letting the fourth (who was quite possibly the instigator of the whole thing) get away with it.

Gareth Hock is an awesome Rugby League player, but he desperately needs to learn to channel his aggression in the right way. Opposition players know that if they push him far enough he is prone to the sort of brain fart we saw yesterday.

Deserves a 10 match ban for just being ugly. What a fantastic player he can be without his thuggery.

Punching is against the rules so Hock deserved a red. 'The Biff' should be about big but legal hits, not cheap shots. As for 'not liking' Hock, I've never met the bloke.

Hock and LMS did very little, if anything worth talking about. Hock pushed his head into LMS and they both hugged each other for a bit; Hock stroked LMS's face a few times with his knuckles.

McGuinnes and Tuson threw a few lame punches between each other. O'Lochlin held McG and Tuson got a few cheap/free shots in on him. Then another Wigan player (Mossop?) punched McGuinnes when McG wasn't looking.

That was IT!

The ref completely overreacted. LMS should have been told to move away while Hock was told off (no card, not red or yellow). McG and Tuson should have both been Sin Bin'd. Mossop(?) should have been put on report for possibly striking someone who was unawares.

I'm in the 'Bring back the biff' camp.

What, him getting sent off? I'm not sure it would help us much. There are plenty of ways to be aggressive and dominate an opponent without fighting. Hock tried to bully LMS and when he stood up to him Hock couldn't handle it. What's he going to do when he plays Australia? They would laugh at him, then destroy him the next time he got the ball.

bottom line, this all started cos hock was being a cheating get and trying to steal loose head at a saints scrum.
