| I was shocked really as after having a good win in Round 1, and a narrow loss in Round 2 I thought the crowd would be quite decent.
Saturday evening, Bradford City at home, Wrexham away, game being on Sky all factors effecting attendance.

I'd expect a pretty poor crowd at Wakey v Salford as well today. Maybe 4k?

It seems that I could be very wrong on this.

Good on them. Great piece of marketing from the Wildcats.

| Only trouble with lowering ticket prices is knowing if the ony reason people aren't coming is because the ticket prices are too high ?
10k at £10 is 100k profit
5k at £17 is 85k profit
but you have to remember that potentially you could get
5k at £10 which is 50k profit which would lose you 35k if the demand isn't there.
When i earlier stated that the RFL could get involved what i mean is they could devise a plan.
It would be up to clubs to implement it/ improve on it.
The RFL marketing machine though is absolute poop

That's a delightfully inconvenient truth for those currently taking great onanistic delight in deriding Quins & Crusaders for their attendances. More effort in promoting and encouraging interest, and less effort complaining bitterly all the time (especially by those who have a voice in the media that reaches beyond the already-converted: I'm looking at you Tony Hannan if you're reading), would be far more beneficial to these teams.

| Quote ="jdrocket"I agree partially with what you are saying. However, I feel that is true of a lot of teams.
No one can deny that a smaller league would create a more intense league. Where is the trade off.
The best idea people have come up with so far is the two tier Super league. Maybe 16 teams, 8 in each tier. P + R for each tier. Takes some pressure off teams and can allow more focus. How much interest are Quins going to get this year? not as much as Saints or Wigan. In a smaller tier where they can develop and challenge for promotion they will generate a lot of interest.
I hope Quins can go the whole season unbeaten. I fear next week might be the end though'" You can't be serious by even thinking that Quins have a chance of going the season unbeaten.More chance of finding life on Mars

| If any team ever goes a full season undefeated then they simply will have to go down as the greatest RL squad in history. Even Wigan in their pomp never went a full season undefeated.

No, I don't think they will and if they went unbeaten for the whole season it would be strange. but I mean it would be great for the league, and a great boost for the expansion argument.
My hope they can continue to win though.

They're unbeaten so far and have just beaten 4 time super league champions.
Shouldn't be so disparaging of what is apparently a very good team.

| It doesnt help at the racecourse having one end closed due to it at some point being knocked down and the main bulk of the home support in the new stand under the camera's.
Just like saints on Friday one main stand empty doesnt look good.
Cru have got a good support but with last season the fixtures were all over the place meaning the causal fan would be put off and then you had all that end of season turmoil. Along with a few issues with Wrexham fc.

My first reaction to that "attendance" is it's complete rubbish, this would be 3 months into the season following our memorable 1994 Jiffy Davies season,
if it is true its more likely to be one off due to some specific Reason as Cas had finished the previous year one place below us and followed it up by going one better in 1995.
in 1995 I'm sure there were attendances at wilderspool close to full house so its a bit of stupid stat
if that Web site is to believed Then Harlequins havent really come a long way since the attendance shown for their match with Sheffield...761
Edit: just checked it out it appears you picked our lowest attended game at Wilderspool bit naughty that.
but one Game from the same season I do remember was this.... one it was an old favourite and a dying breed the midweek fixture. I remember Snookers club being packed with Halifax fans and they almost filled the Railway end, a great turnout.
Halifax 16 Warrington 14 at Wilderspool.
Date: Wed, 1st November 1995. Referee: Stuart Cummings. Crowd: 7,179.

Thanks. You're a prick
Nothing idiotic in what i said. I hope Quins do well this year. It is okay to appreciate the game of rugby league over some insecure desire to only focus on the small area of Warrington Wolves. It is cave men like you that don't appear care if the game succeeds, who are idiotic. That's okay though. Just don't have a chip on your shoulder or be an ignorant to me about it.

| Harlequins' marketing of their club, with relation to traffic going through their turnstiles, is quite frankly, pathetic.
Crusaders, well lets just reserve judgement on them for at least another 2 or 3 seasons
As for jdrocket's hope for Harlequins to go unbeaten throughout the season.......so, that means 2 victories over Warrington....yeah, shrewd, that one. As a prediction, I think the number of their defeats this season, will be in double figures. The've had a good start to the season (3 games), but so what. New coach syndrome, a poor Leeds performance and a dour game against Cats, do not a season, make.

Well that's not what I meant. I was hoping for a good season from them, unbeaten was an astonomical stretch. If they were capable it would do wonders for increasing the appeal of the side in a very profitable area.
But if we take this extreme argument that they go unbeaten, they also beat Wigan, Saints, Leeds and Huddersfield twice. There would be no problem.
I have clarified several times that I just hope they have a great season and that i am impressed they have gone so far unbeaten.
