The Venue Is Set Let Battle Commence

Warrington Wolves will play their Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-final at the Stobart Stadium, Widnes.

The fixture against the Catalans Dragons will be played on Sunday 8th August, kicking off at 3.30pm.

Match tickets for this game will go on sale to Season Ticket Holders from Wednesday 9th June 9am for 3 days through to close of business Friday.

Tickets will then go on general sale as of Saturday 12th June at 9am.

Season Ticket Holders will need to use Special Voucher no. 14 when purchasing. Online purchases will be available as of Wednesday with your Season Ticket book number requested when ordering. There will be no limit on purchases.

A facility will also be in place for those wishing to make postal and telephone orders.

Pre-purchased tickets will range from £18 to £25 adults and concessions £5 to £10 concessions.

This fixture will be televised on BBC as will the semi-final between Leeds Rhinos and St Helens to be played at the Galpharm Stadium (Saturday 7th August 2.30pm).

Sally Bolton, the RFL's Director of Events and Projects, said: "The Carnegie Challenge Cup is one of Rugby League's iconic events which is eagerly anticipated by players and fans alike.

"With the clubs just 80 minutes away from an appearance at Wembley, the semi-finals have an atmosphere and tension all of their own and we've chosen venues which can only add to the overall experience.

"Demand for tickets will be huge so supporters are urged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible."

Glad that is confirmed. Going to prepare myself for Wednesday which will no doubt be a shambles to queue for and buy tickets!

We're playing Catalans here, not Wigan or Saints or Widnes, so unlike last year we will have most of the tickets...

I can't see there being a problem for tickets this time when the stadium capacity coped so well with a Wigan vs Wire game last season. In fact it wasn't even a sell out with a 12,975 attendance in a 13,350 capacity venue.

Just go on Thursday or Friday, there’ll be less (if any) queue. There will be no problem for season ticket holders getting tickets and I would expect any Warrington fan that wants to go will get a ticket. I don’t remember anyone having much difficulty last year and we only had half the tickets, this time we'll have most of them!

The Stoop is 12 miles from Wembley Stadium. It would have caused a right headache for the RLF if Harlequins had made the final.

It would be even worse if Salford made a Grand Final.

Will there be free coaches?

I thought that, we all did get a free 4th round ticket in our season ticket book, and me being a Wolfpacker i get up to the Semis free. I think £18 for 4 games is very good.

Maybe but i am not a Wolfpacker and I'd like to know the difference between and £18 seat and £25 seat, I mean £25 for a seat at the Stobart Stadium is ridiculous. It doesn't help when you have some smart booty making cocky remarks - TANCW.

Why is £25 ridiculous? It's an all-seater stadium. It's a cup semi.

I don't no about you but i have a mortgage and bills to pay for - and most people on here will have children to feed.

£25 is ridiculous! All seater or not. It's not a football match, get hospitallity for that price. £15-£18 is a fair price IMO, it's all about gettin g a good attendance not ripping people off.

Cup semi, all seater stadium or not, you can get Wembey tickets for less than that.

How much was it last year? I don't remember it being that expensive.

I know you can purchase Wembley tickets for £21 though.

It's £24 for a North Stand ticket for a league match at the H&J.
