Bullhooks. Never heard the common expression among RL fans that 'Saints fans would boo their grandmothers?'. Anything that the opposition has the temerity to do ( like tackle a Saints player ) gets the ritualist Saints boo. If you haven't heard it since the 1980s I'd go check you hearing.

I was talking about US booing OUR OWN team, since that is what was being talked about.

There has been a lot of booing. But as mentioned booing the players is exceedingly rare. There have been times where they have booed for 80 minutes in protest at the board. I think I've seen three or four 'sack the board' protests since I've been attending.

Yes, Lomax and Wheeler have both done better jobs than Gardner on the wing. No Saints fan is going to miss Gardner. That's sad for Gardner, but it's the reality.

No, no. You didn't read my post. I said his form has been terrible since the beginning of last season. He's just crashed and burned. He is now more of a liability than Meli, and that is saying something.

He balsed up two tries on Saturday that in 2008 he would have finished off and with panache. And these are not the first two tries he has balsed up. He did the same thing plenty of times last season and there was often a competition between him and Meli to see who was the worst at catching the high ball. Gardner had conquered that problem under Anderson. Potter has exposed it.

No. This is just typical, one game and it's Potter out, Gardner can't finish, Eastmonds crap, get rid of Graham the youngsters arn't good enough, we should of kept long blah blah.

Go find a post in which anyone has said Eastmond is crap or we should get rid of Graham. We have said Pryce is not contributing and Gardner won't be missed. We watch Saints week in, week out, so we know what we are talking about. You don't.

Gardner is not performing under Potter. In fact, he is a liability. He will not be missed and I would much, much rather have either Lomax or Wheeler playing in his place. That is a view shared by most Saints fans who post on here and it is certainly the view of those Saints fans I hear about me on the terraces. That is not based on one match; it is based on all last season PLUS one match.

Gardner has never been one of the best wingers in the game in my opinion. He's just been very fortunate to have world class centres inside him. And yes, yes, I know a winger's job is about scoring tries, but when you use the term 'best', I'm reminded of the likes of Robinson, Vainokolo, Sailor etc - not Gardner!!
