| Quote ="tino"wasn't saying he was an 'ok' coach r kid or that your squad is no good in fact what i meant was the opposite
brown is obviously a good coach because he has turned hudds into a good, consistent outfit
i was simply observing that he once had a team including barrett, gasnier, cooper, ryles, timmins (much bigger names at the time than anyone you have got now, no offence intended but they were top nrl/origin/kangaroo names) and i thought that the drags didn't cut it consistently and often 'choked' because browny wasn't a great coach back then
maybe some coaches work better with different sets of players e.g. cullen did his best work with appos and nat woods not with monaghans and kings
maybe he was just young and inexperienced back in those days
maybe he has brought some tactics from the nrl that coaches who have been in superleague longer aren't fully wise to yet e.g. wrestling moves'"
Be fair I have seen Westwood and Mathers deliver a few forearm smashes - and Mozza in his youth

Which players do you feel are better than ours in the same position?

| Fullback for starters
I think they are two very evenly matched squad really, barring fullback I think the 3/4 line is pretty even
Halfbacks, we have standoffs, you dont seem to at the moment
Scrum half, you will completely dissagree but I think this season both have been on a par, and both are key to making our respective teams tick
Forwards. You have Mozza who is simply superb, but we have Crabtree who is also superb, Mozza has done it before though so has the edge, but we have Mason and Griffin who are clearly dominant over your other forwards
We have better hookers and I think our second rows are equal but you may have a better 13
Most importantly though we have a better bench to my mind.

I would agree with most of that, I did a thread on here few days ago about who I think will cause us the most problems in attack for you went for
Brett Hodgson
Luke Robinson
Scott Moore
Leroy Cudjoe
What do you think? I would add Crabtree to that as well.

| All of this thread is valid about who has on paper the better team, however I think it will mainly down to attiitude on the day of the individual players.
I'm glad we're playing wire, as you have some very vocal but genreally good fans to talk to.
We'll see in 45 hours time who was right!!!

| Very true GL
Crabtree is massive for us in attack, his ability to pull the defence in cannot be underestimated, then he can get the offload out
One things for sure, if him and Mozza are lined up together in the autumn tests, there are gonna be fireworks.

An area I don't believe we defend very well either.

| Crabtree is an excellent player who, as TCP notes, we either deal with easily or we allow to run riot. If it's the latter, we may well struggle. Not in the least bit concerned about Mason or Griffin. Obvious points I know but Hodgson (Aus) and Robinson will also be absolutely crucial. The Giants aren't where they are by accident and fully deserve their league placing which is way better than ours.
Hoary old cliche but we're going to have to play extremely well to win this game. That would ring true if it was being played on a park field, never mind Wembley. We'll get done, hugely, if we're anything other than bang on it and I'm expecting the Huddersfield team of my nightmares...

yeah mate they do have a track record but i think random high shots rarely achieve much other than giving away penalties and firing the opposition up
i wasn't actually criticising either about the wrestling moves...they are within the rules at the moment and although it seems a bit cynical to bend people's necks and roll on their legs, while they aren't outlawed whoever uses them nest knackers their opponents out most

| I think its fair to say, both teams are going to have to play to their best to be in with a shout, and of they do, it will be a classic.
