In any sport this game will go down in history as one of the best ever comebacks in sport, even my mancunian friends can't deny that

| Was there in 74, 75 and 90. Obviously winning in 1974 was superb, but in that year we were accustomed to winning trophies, so it felt almost routine. This year, because we have had little to celebrate recently, I am so full of anticipation and excitement, just can't wait.

| i was at the 90 game, and went to a couple of rugby league world cup finals. i was in brisbane when the lions beat australia, and was also at mille when england beat australia in the rugby union world cup quarters. both massive occassions and the right results. i was at spurs when united were 3 down at half time, and came back to win 5-3, but that was only a normal league match, and have been to lords for an ashes game, which suprisingly england lost........but this, for me is the biggest so far. too long between drinks, and been to wembley (and twickenham, murreyfield and cardiff) too often to see what it means to other teams fans to get there

| Went as a kid in 74 and then again in 90.
Both great memories...win or lose.
Taking my son for his first wembley experience this year.
The atmosphere is like nothing else i've experienced and hope after losing in 75 and 90 that this is 3rd time lucky.
Come On Wire
PS my avatar has been there since the start of the season before we had that long run of defeats.......never give up hope.

How will Wembley compare to playing with horses? Both sporting related.

| I promised the wife that as long as we got to Wembley i would not be disappointed if we lost the final. Although i have since changed my mind!
I am was too young to appreciate what it meant when we got there in 1990 and didn't go the Regal trophy final in 1995, so this is the biggest sporting occassion i will have ever been to.

| I've been a lot luckier than most. I started supporting Wire midway through 2002 so I've only had to wait 7 years till I've seen my team in a final, whereas I'm sure most of you have had to wait since 1990.
I've been to Wembley a few times (CC Final, NFL) and been to several sporting contests, but this is the one I've always craved (along with the GF of course), so yes, this is the biggest sporting event I will have been too!
And I can't wait!!!

| Went to the final in '75 with my dad, went to the final in '90 with my mate and thought that both were superb days out. Especially the '90 one.
Best Wire final though has to be the '86 Premiership final vs Halifax when Sir Les of Boyd got MoM & we won - brilliant!
This one will top the lot though....

| Went to the 90 final (after being stuck in work for the semi) and the whole weekend was an amazing experience. Went to the Bulls V Saints final where Robbie Paul got his hatrick with mates from work which was a good day out.
This year because I went to the semi I'm buzzing and probably will be for the next 2 weeks. getting stuff to kit out the car and house today in P & B so I guess this is probably better feeling than in 1990, plus I feel we have the better chance of winning this year.

| Went in 74 was awsome, went again in 75 still enjoyed it but getting beaten by the smellies took the edge off the occasion for me. never went in 1990 got married instead just went to the town hall on the home comming.
Im really excited about this year a win would be perfect, however, if we loose it is still something special and im also looking forward to the homecomming what a party can't wait. In sport if we win yes will be the best ever

| I was 19 in 1974 and the match was my first Challenge Cup final. We were probably marginal underdogs going in to the game as, although we'd already won two trophies, those were the days of contested scrums and we were all worried that Kevin Ashcroft would not get us any ball against the then GB hooker, Bridges, plus they had the GB scrum half, Nash. After a sticky start we outplayed them to win.
In 1975 we were red-hot favourites, and after John Beven scored our first try on about five minutes even the Comics thought they were goint to get pasted. Murphy's power, however, had seen Mike Nicholas left out of the starting line up after he fell out with 'Murph', and we lost our way to lose convincingly.
1990 I'd just started a new business and was so pre-occupied that the game went by in a daze. On paper we never had a chance against moneybags Wigan but we gave it a shot.
This year has the potential to beat all of them, especially as I could not imagine, in 1974, what it was like to wait twenty years between cup final appearances ( prevous one had been 1954 ). Now I do!

| This will top it for me. I was only 8 in 1990 and although I was no doubt excited about it I probably didn't fully grasp what was happening. I also don't remember a great deal. I remember being in awe at the size of Wembley as I'd only visited a couple of grounds at that point. The 1 clear memory I still have and all ways will have from the game is Mike Gregory's try.
Roll on the 29th.

| This is my first Challenge Cup Final and although I've been to a couple of Grand Finals they obviously weren't involving my team so didn't mean as much. Great Britain V Australia at Wembley and the first Tri-Nations final at Elland Road are probably the biggest RL games I've been to before and I've been to Scotland V England RU at Murrayfield too but Wire at Wembley will be ten times bigger than any of those games in my eyes so in rugby terms then yes.
However I've also been to three European Cup Finals (Old Trafford 2003, Istanbul 2005, Athens 2007) and this won't come close to 2005 so in overall sporting terms then no.

| I've seen most of the Finals of various competitions that we've been in since I started watching aged 10 in 1966 and nothing can compare (until next week) with Murphy lifting the Cup in 1974. The 1986 Premiership Final came close.
If we do win, one absolute 'must' for everyone is the Town Hall on Sunday afternoon. I doubt that anyone who was there will ever forget Mike Gregs speech in 1990.

| I was there in 74 and the memory is awesome ,went in 75 great day but losing took the shine off it the celebrations the year before were still the best ever ,went in 90 always remember the pie eaters after on wembley station on the opposite platform miserable as e and the Wire faithful were bouncing on the other side singing and dancing all the way home and we lost.
Will be there this year expect nothing but a great day with the Wire faithful and hopefully be rewarded with the ultimate prize and drown out creamfields the day after with our home coming
COME ON THE WIRE !
