Myler 7, Briers 6, Monaghan at 9 with Higham on the bench. If we're not signing a new loose forward then Jon Clarke can cover that position.

Would leave Harrison at 13. Certainly doesn't deserve to lose his place to Clarke.

Just a word of warning to all these people that are buzzing over us having myler next season(allegedly). If you are one of the Penny bashers wait until you see Mylers tackling, it is shocking.

Funny how Myler was the best thing since sliced bread when Wigan and Saints were rumoured, now he's signed for us we hear the Tomkins and Eastmond are better jibes. Eastmond isn't a great tackler either, Matt King actually laughed at him on saturday.

They may have a point, Myler doesn't strike me as the best tackler. This is how i would rate them.

Tomkins is a bit of a sly bugger. Always holding onto the tackler when he's at dummy half trying to get a penalty. Was made up when Howell laid him out.

You make a good point Mark. From what I've read on this forum we want half backs to tackle like 2nd rowers and loose forwards to be non ball playing and be "big units".

Creative players should be creative players. God knows they are rare enough in our game. We have a bag full of players in the academy who can tackle ad infinitum. How many have we got that can come into a team with a few games under their belt and play against an in-form Warrington and destroy them up the middle by taking on the line. I bet Eastmond missed a good few tackles on Saturday, but he showed exactly what attacking flair, taking on the line, and elusive running can do from half back.

Best centre knocking around SL, at the top of his game = £225k. That kind of puts into context.
