Hey that was based on 2004 being a washout and besides that I don't like all this 'you won't get a ticket talk' as it DOES make people think twice about going to get one.
Anyway if we had wanted a bigger stadium to play the SF in why didn't more of you go in 2004? I certainly don't blame the RFL.

| I think the problem is could maybe sell another 1.5k making it around 7k wire fans in total be that still wouldn't be enough to fill the Reebok and hudds plus with going to one of them stadium less may have wanted to go due to distance, the only real place would maybe have been saints its a shame them and salford don't have there new stadiums yet.

Mark did you go in 2004, from what i can remember, we sold out our allocation, we took some off Wigan, they had to open the east side before it was developed to accomodate the wire fans, i remember our fans complaining after the game that it was a dgrace as there were no facilities in that area what so ever.
We filled the north stand so much so that athal time the concourse was one big crush, the toilets were one way in and out, i am hoping that the south stand it better thistime. The only washout was the result.
I do think we will get more tickets next week

| Wonder with 8weeks to go, how many we would have sold if there was unlimited seating*.

| That little standing area at Widnes, didn't we get that the first time we played Widnes in Superleague (2002?) and was just a portaloo and people coming round selling lucozade?
For the semi-final it was split with half Wire/half Wigan

No don't think so mate, the standing area was aways closed and the way area is the oposite end, i do remember in 2002 we filled the away end and spread into the south stand as the game was kicling off and some of our fans were still comimng in.
In 2004 we had the north stand and the pies had the south, the west stand was split, however, i think we ended up with about three quarters of the west stand (normally mistaken, and due to the demand they had to open the normally closed hence no facilities, but my memory is not what it used to be and i could and might be totally wrong

Best point so far! Widnes was about what - 3k short max wheras Reebok 12k extra, which would be better atmosphere etc>?
With 5,500 season ticket holders all should be able to get one really, did the RFL not sell tickets btw?
All this urgh I can't get one for semi but cba going say the round before is pathetic and I am half glad sometimes this lot don't get tickets! Could be worse look at footy when 30,000 UTD SEASON ticket holders missed out on FA cup FINAL tickets!

| This is all academic if the fans preferred stadiums (stadia ?) are simply not available. I would imagine that the RFL have a number of grounds to be used for the semi finals and must take the best option given location of the competing teams and the size of the following.
I would rather watch a sell out than a half full ground

I was sat down in the North stand for the semi-final at Widnes, but have definetly stood up in the little standing bit before it was re-developed. Sure it was the first game we played there in the super league?

Haha, no mean 'final hunting fans' I had meant to mention the NRC final the other year when we sold out 5k or so in no time yet week after, same fixture only 3,250(ish) turned up!

| What are the chances of the RFL releasing more tickets next week? In two minds as to wait till next week or pop down to Wigan tomorrow and see if I can get a ticket that way.

Yes I did. It was far from a sell-out, I tried to find the attendance figure the other day but couldn't; does anyone know what it was?

Ten thousand and something, plenty of empty seats.

| Nigel Wright from the RFL should be taken outside Red Hall and publicly flogged - in a sport like Rugby League which has a dearth of big occasions he manages to makes this cock-up - woeful.
