| He’s been at wire since he was 15. Was captain of u16 and u19 team . Was on loan back end of the season with Widnes and they loved him there . A real talent but needs a chance like a lot of young lads at wire , maybe this season a few might get a good run out

| I was his sponsor last season promising player and a very nice young bloke. His challenge, which I discussed with him, is that he's a back row forward, of which the club has many, so getting first team chances is tough.

I'm not but i'm sure we'll all hear the "He's got loads of potential" lines from the club. most of our signings have been meh this year but i think we still have Quality through out the Squad and alot of our players are looking in the best shape i've ever seen. I'm full of confidence regardless of what people say, and if Latu hits the potential he's been tagged with in the NRL we could have a big powerful proper enforcer on our hands

| One Asotasi, there’s only one Asotasi. Only joking, welcome to the Primrose and Blue Mr Latu charge in like a rhinoceros and if you repeatedly put that clown LMS on his backside you will do for me.

Latu had a decent spell at Penrith playing about 50 first team games. His transfer to Gold Coast Titans was pretty disappointing and he played only a handful of games over the past 2 seasons.
Latu is another Penrith player whose career move to the GC has not gone well. Cartwright and Peachey are others that come to mind.

| Didn't the RFU say they would make an exception with Saracens & still allow the players to be picked for England when they are demoted ? That seems to be a big driving force in Rugby Union.

Trying self preservation before there's a star exodus?...' just ride out 1 season players, so you'll be promoted...well do our best to get you back up....please don't leave the RFU'

| It looks a bit like a non-story to me. Reporter sent out to see whether any Saracens players may consider a move to League and so contact a club who have signed a couple of Union players, Prell and Burrell, in recent seasons plus the returning Charnley. What Fitzpatrick said was;
“We’ve still got one spot left on the new talent pool dispensation and should the opportunity present itself, we’d certainly look at it.”
From that comes the headline 'Warrington ready to bring relegated Saracens players to Super League'.
Almost as bad as my wife when it comes to twisting what people (me) have said.

That would be the house that Paul Sculthorpe owns, previously rented by Kevin Sinfield among others.

| The only player currently playing RU that I would be interested in is Semi Radrada but I think the French have a bigger sombrero than we do. He was devastating at Parra and would easily be top tryscorer in SL. It would be a good experiment if a RU prop was given a trial game in RL. I wonder what the GPS read out for a RU prop is compared to their league counterparts.

I once saw a post by Ulster RU which was shared by a RU Facebook group hailing prop Rory Best. I saved the photo to my phone at the time (no idea how to upload it, never works for me) so I'll type it out:
Ulster Rugby [i@UlsterRugby[/i
A massive 80 minute shift from the skipper this afternoon.
[uRORY BEST[/u
8 CARRIES
14 TACKLES
12 METRES
It was also re-tweeted by Liam Watts who simply posted it with the caption 'Rate shift'.

Bit of a waste of time comparing the two games as regards props.
In Union their most important function is being able to do their job in the scrum & being able to do more is a bit of a bonus ... but they are getting better. A league prop would not not get through a single scrum in Union without injury. Different game and different animal.

8 carries in 80 minutes. Doesn't matter if the two trades are comparable of not. Praising a player for touching the ball 8 times in 80 minutes is abysmal.
The other year the Telegraph reported that an England RU player left the field a 'broken man' as he left the field on the 60th minute having completed 12 tackles. I'm aware that the two codes are vastly different, I've played both. But those stats are poor.

There was a top Union prop who signed League ... Mike Coulman Salford (he was a success). But I can't think of more. Must be a few at a lower level.

| Union scrums are as big a joke as ours ,all the pushing ,shoving ,grunting & groaning then the scrum half still feeds his own forwards. Then "sir" gives a penalty because the scrum usually collapses.

| Yep ... and they eat up much more time. But they are much more important in Union e.g. World Cup Final SA v Eng.

| There have been many RU forwards converted to RL.
It the most successful position as I see it.
