I didn't miss him in Sandows first full season.
Never seen a half as good in our colours since Blake.
I include Jiffy Harris Briers Bridge Langar and John's.

Blake played most of his games at centre. What about John Woods?

| I thought I was a Sandow truther but seems like there are more hardcore Sandowers on here than me.
He was really good in about 10 games. He had a bag of tricks and weapons that could break a defence and in todays game which is very formulaic someone like that is a match-winner. But the spell of games where he was like that was only about 10 games.
He was not as complete a player as Davies, Briers or Johns. They all passed the ball better could organise a team better and had greater variety to their kicking game. He was closer in style to Langer in terms of being a bag of tricks close to the opposition line but Langer's tricks were more consistently dangerous.
If you want comparisons to Sandow with players from the past, Graham Appo and Richard Henare (although different types of players) are more appropriate - both had a little golden spell where they were unplayable but otherwise not that effective.

| Sandow was amazing before he got injured, i know alot of people said he was after he left but he wasn't. He was a Quality player who like so many who had awesome talent just wasted it, if he had gotten his head and attitude right he could have dominated.

After he got injured it went south due to his boredom getting the better of him and ending up getting into hot water with the Pablo Escobar's of the WA2 area.
Had he not been injured during Wigan away and become distracted by a 3 month long summer snowstorm. There is no doubt in my mind that form would have continued.

More chance of a clothes prop now at this stage I’m guessing.

I notice that Sam Lisone's Wikipedia page describes him as "a Samoan international rugby league footballer who plays as a prop for the Warrington Wolves in the Super League" - so either someone knows something we don't, or someone's having a jolly jape.

| Yeah i think that was someone jumping the gun on wikipedia ha ha ha
I'm happy to wait now as we could pick up a gem during the season so you never know. I had high hopes for Luis Johnson and price said he's been smashing it in training and he's looking at him for selection so i'd like to see him kick on and take his chances finally

| Direct from Wikipedia:-
Sam Lisone (born 19 February 1994) is a Samoan international rugby league footballer who plays as a prop for the Warrington Wolves so says Rubber Duckie in the Super League.

But for how long....
His previous with Souths and Parramatta suggests that he was never one to be relied on for long term consistent performances. Even if he'd come back in 2017 I think we'd have had to ride peaks and troughs with him.
Actually I prefer what Sandow did (walking out on his contract) to what Appo did (signing an enhanced deal and then loafing around for 2 years).

Honestly Sal I wouldn't be bothered if we only got that one season out of him. If he hadn't of suffered the injury his form would have continued and his head would've been right. Our performance in that GF would have seen us win it had the early season Sandow been playing.

Would it? We'll never know, he hasn't ever had that level of consistency which was his major downfall in the NRL.
He left us in a right hole, and I wouldn't have him back under any circumstances.
