Perhaps I’ve not used the correct term.
But it’s a tiered contract.
For scenario & example.
A club is hit by C-19 but wants to keep the best player but are basically running debt.
So to manage the debt through the pandemic, a contact like, year 1 - £100k, year 2 - £200k, year 3 - £300k.
Those figures are my own and used only to explain the ‘multiplier’ tiered contract I referred.

| Clark is currently playing as well as I have seen him. He has often looked as if he has been playing injured but not now. This loose forward role is really suiting him & even when we get our extra big boys back playing it would be wise to give him some time in that position. With a few more forwards about it would also be handy to give him the odd spell on the bench ... he deserves it.
Not many like him about ... keep him.

Longstaff was gone last year, there was no way especially after his loan this year he was coming back.
If we are chading a centre i assume it would be Gildart, but i hope not and hope Wrench is our starting centre next year.'"
Agree with that last part I’d prefer Wrench over Gildart.

Any chance you can Try explaining this again for me, like I'm 5 years old.
How was covid 19 anything to do with daryl clark's contract that was signed in 2019? (Aside from the two instances of 19)

I was asked to explain and I said a ‘scenario’ how a building contract might be used or set up. It’s not Clark!
I stated I don’t know the details of Clark’s contract. His contract might have been signed when we had 2 marquees or as future deal on another.
I’m sure there can’t only be Clark and/or Wire who have this type of contact. It may even be Currie who is/was also on it.
Thanks for the info on Clark’s contract signing btw.

| IIRC Walker was given an extended contract last year to end of 2025 so it can safely be assumed he stays hence his improved game time. Clark is increasingly being used as an extra middle and this is likely the way forward for him at the club. If he’s happy he stays if not he moves on. The unknown factor is the possible testimonial after 10 years service which certainly paid a part in Curries last renewal. However having seen Charnley granted one last week who knows.

Yeah I've seen you say this previously, and I'm pretty sure I've called it out then when you've said 'we've 3 marquee players'.
I'll ask again, can you please explain the logic behind this again, I'll make it easier, it's a year later, I'm now 6

I wouldn't moan, as at least Duckie 'quacked' (MASSIVE C-R-I-N-G-E) and gave you an answer. I'm still waiting for him to tell me what he meant about Gildart having had the chance to come to Wire

I heard a rumour that Gildart was considered as a possible centre. That’s it. I can’t expand any more on it.

| Might need a new number 6 next year. George’s form for Wire and in the World Cup has put the NRL on notice. Tigers have been mentioned.
I’ve heard he fancies another crack - as covid is what brought him and he didn’t love Canberra as a city.
Could be a big hole as he’s on pace for Man of Steel IMO.

| I’ve only read that he only he is happy at Wire.
He’s settled and I’d be very surprised if he ever left Wire tbh.

You've more chance of understanding the logic behind the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method in cricket.

| I see Luis Johnson is on the Hull KR off-contract list. When he first broke into the Wire side, I thought he looked like a great prospect, but for whatever reason, he seems to have lost his way and five years later, he is still just on the fringes of the Hull KR side.

Possibly because he was bigger and stronger than others for his age at that time. Something we obviously didn't consider when we spent £45,000 buying him from Cas. We must be their biggest benefactor of the last decade.

| Wasn't it Lee Briers who strongly recommended we sign him?
Scored a very good try in the reserves last weekend to be fair.
