They did but Liverpool stole it from Celtic. Football and Rugby songs are passed on fron club to club all the time now.
Wigan also now sing the 'Champions 67' song that Celtic sing to the tune if Rod Stewart's 'Heartache', with abit of a words change, so it says on their board.

You mean copied from Celtic.
The Balotelli song that Man City sing (copied from Celtic's holy goalie, copied from Liverpool, copied from PAOK) is a good one.

Songs are passed on from club to club but when everyone is singing the same thing you need to change. The only teams that I've seen that have constantly changing, original songbooks are Celtic, United, Liverpool, possibly Rangers and sitting at the top of the tree, FC United.

| Que Sera Sera its the best song weve got better than Were not W4nky anymore.
I'd have more of a problem with "top of the league Havin a laugh" nonsense
Que Sera Sera has always been sung to my knowledge that and "she wore a yellow ribbon" the only time it stops is when weve been knocked out of the cup. Both are great traditional songs that add what some would say is a bit of lost romance of the cup.
no one sings "were gonna win the league and now your gonna believe us" anymore because its a play off based competition and that song doesnt work.
anyway Gives us a double Yew .....

I was on Saturday.
If we are still top going into the end of the season we should sing and celebrate being champions. It should be up to the fans to decide what are the most important trophies to win, not the RFL. Not that we will though.

Challenge Cup final hasn't been played in May for years either, but apparently that is when 'she' wears that yellow ribbon.

| I know it's a football song but I like Marching On Together.
And of course Old Faithful.
I don't really join in with the singing nowadays apart from a few minutes to go in cup semis when I'll sing Que Sera Sera. And if we are going to win the league leaders trophy, I will certainly join in with We're Gonna Win the League. And We Are The Champions when we win the GF....

Old Faithful is by far and away the best rugby song. No other team's fans in any sport sing it and its got about 80 years of history behind it, something which makes it quite unique.
Marching on Together and When the Saints go marching in aren't bad either, it's a shame we haven't got any decent songs really.

| I must admit, I do (begrudgingly) like Marching On Together, wrapped round the kicking off of the ball. It sets a great atmosphere
Oh when the Saints is such a boring song (not a dig at Stains)
Not that bovved by Old Faithful

come on its garbage its up their with Salford Salford Salford. its just number one on the Hull fans playlist of crap songs
the worst things about Old faithfull are
a) You cant understand a word of it
b) they sing it almost ALL the time
C) its even worse than the Shooting song they have
c) when they arent singing it they have the cheek to sing Shall We sing a song for You ...and then Sing Old Faithfull.........again....
tip if your going to have a pop at fans not singing and brag about singing songs yourselves sing something different than that old sack of .
not a fan.....
and sorry its not a patch on the truly offensive "the Famous Wigan Rugby"

It's even more cringeworthy when Warrington fans sing it, after all we're not champions... yet.
As for the comments on Old Faithful, it's the only original RL song and even predates classic sports anthems like You'll Never Walk Alone.
