| Personally I think woody isn't good enough anymore.I'd like to see the back of asotasi and myler. Don't know what everyone sees in rhys evans. I would move atkins on the wing and bring in at least one new halfback and a centre.

| Yed, agree with your comment about Woody, still has something to offer in my view.
Asotasi, sad to report a complete loss of faith. With no obvious signs of improvement after over half a season the axe has to fall.
Russell is conundrum, looks lively but as said earlier or on on another thread, when was the last time he actually beat anybody when running thee ball out? Give him the benefit of the doubt as he is still young
Myler could still come good but he is a support player and should just back people up ala Shaun Edwards in his pomp. He has shown little appetite of ability to manage a game. Decision time about him
Ratch is supreme open field runner and perhaps fullback or loose (after a few pies) would suite. Definite keeper.
I have often marveled at Bennies levels of effort but being part of two man pack much of the season is taking its toll as it is with Hilly who has had a quiet couple of games. Definite keeper though for me.

| It's a shame to hear criticism of Russell. He's young and will mature mentally and physically. These days how often do full backs break the line from a kick return, within seconds of gathering the ball, there are 4 players closing him down. Hodgson and Grose were the only recent wire players and they were freaks. (didn't Stef score one against Wigan?)

| I would go with:
1 Ratchford
2 Russell
3 Evans
4 Atkins
5 Joel
6 Bridge
7 New Blood
8 Hill
9 Clarke (if all is true)
10 Simms
11 Lathwaite
12 Westwood
13 Currie
14 Grix
15 Higham
16 England
17 New Blood
out:
Myler - Can't cut it
Asotasi - No words for this one
Harrison - Seen the best of him
Wood - Good guy but too old now
Retire:
Trent

No he's not very average is he? he's replacing a test and origin player who HAS been very average though.
Simms Will not be a wrecking ball type prop forward, but he trundles up hard yards in the middle of the park something Waterhouse (ok he's playing out wide) and Asotasi don't do.
He's clearly got some Mongrel in him which we are desperate for. He works hard in defence, and he's the back slapping high fiving, encouraging team spirit kind of guy that we need.
And after the loss of Morley and Carvell we need a high profile experienced forward to help out our younger forwards sadly waterhouse has not been the type of guy for that and Westwood has gone off the boil having to do the work of two back rowers while Trent takes it easy. Simms coming in will help both Westwood and Chris Hill.
If that's Hype then fair do's, to me its just an honest assessment of the one coming in being better than the one going out.
But thanks for offering kirke and lovegrove anyway

Sims looked pretty good at the weekend when the Cowboys stuck 64 on Wests.

| I would be happy with just one half back and one new prop. Hooker as well if possible and only if that certain individual actually WANTS to play for us.

| I would play Monaghan at as he has been better there than on the wing without the Briers kick to the corner. Would love to see Evans at 2 and Monas at 3.

| Quote ="rubber duckie"Perhaps you could start a sentence with a capital letter, end it with a full stop and use a comma after the name Clark? Which also must start with a capital letter.
The use of the word "maybe" is out of context unless you were going to use it as a question, in which case you have not used a question mark following the word "correctly".
The use of the word "you're" is incorrect in the English language, it has a meaning of you are. Your use of the word is correct in American English.'"

| What I find interesting here is the absence of,or loss of faith in, Ben Currie. Based on some peoples first choice 17 they obviously feel he has gone backwards, been overtaken by the likes of Laithwaite or wasn't that good to begin with.
My personal view is he is stilll the most naturally skillful player we have at the club, certainly the most skillful forward. I'd conced he has had a poor year, but I fully expect him to have big 2015 if he gets a good pre-season. Personally, a back-three of Laithwaite, Currie & Harrison ticks all the boxes for me.
So, my vision of the future is ...
Ratchford
Russell
Evans
Atkins
Monas
Bridge
A.N.Other
Hill
Higham
Simms
Laithwaite
Currie
Harrison
Westwood
B.Evans
Grix
England
If Clark is here, great, we'll find room for him. One more year for J.Monas, Westwood & Atkins, although we really, really, REALLY need to inject some killer pace into that backline. If the trinity of Laithwaite, B.Evans & Currie continue progress, Simms lives up to expectations and we can find a good passing scrum-half then the next generation of P&B is looking good.

ive come away from games thinking he has done ok..... but im yet to be wowed by a performance from him

| I'm giving Russell the bod as it's his first season.
1.(FB) Russell
2.(WG) Evans
3.(C) Ratchford
4.(C) Monaghan
5. (WG) Atkins (very fast, no eye for a pass stick him on the wing)
6. (SO) Bridge
7. (SH) O'Brien
8. (P) Hill
9. (HK) Clark
10. (P) Simms
11. (SR) Westwood
12. (SR) Grix
13. (LF) Currie
cba with subs
As for Currie, remember his age for his position, he's not a back.

| A lot to go in my opinion...
Myler
G Riley
Asotasi
Waterhouse
Wood
Danny bridge
Chris Riley
Possibly penny
Unless we are signing a top quality halfback then Bridge gets the 6 shirt for me next season with Ratchford at 7 (although I do think he is our best all round fullback) just can't see Russell being moved anywhere else
