| Yes, Dufty was not a happy bunny when Harrison didn't pass to him.
It's a pity we aren't coming up with better ways to take advantage of the pace we have in the side at the moment through Dufty, Ashton, Wrench and Thewlis. Kick plays can sometimes be a great option, such as the simple but effective one that provided Jai Field's try for Wigan on Friday. A few planned moves like that, not over-used, would give defences a bit more to think about.

We were unfortunate to have three tries chalked off for "tiny" fingertip touches which would have changed the game. In addition their final try was way forward but not given. '"
Just watched the game and agree on both points. In a non-televised game two of the three no-tries would actually have been given and Huddersfield's final try was definitely off a forward pass.

| Yep. The analysis of Dufty organizing the defensive line was interesting.
A lot of talk about communication (or lack of) but to me there also looks like a lack of urgency.
I know Phil Clarke had his view on Dufty's ability to create tries but he has shown that ability.
I know that other teams have switched positions during games. I think Field and French sometimes swap between wing and FB or SO in game.
Maybe it is worth considering Dufty on the wing and Thewlis at Fullback but with the option to bring Dufty in to a pivot role on some attacking plays. I know that Powell used to switch Shenton and Turner between wing and centre and this is a bit more dlradical

| As for Ashton & Thewlis ,they both show creativity & are good at making space for themselves , Would they be better in a more central position to break down defences? There is talent & toughness in our youngsters.

| Quite simply we want them both to touch the ball more. I'd like Thewlis to get it when he can dummy & he can't do that so much on the wing.

| While Dufty might be a bit grumpy, the pace he shows is unbelievable at times. Thewlis is no slouch but watching him fly up alongside and support at a canter was impressive. Even for the Fages try, he completely messes up the situation, starts to have a tantrum before giving chase and still reels Fages in and almost prevents the try.
Ratchford and Drinkwater aside, the backline is electric. Can see the idea, big ugly lumps battering the middle and shift wide for the backs. Just need the big ugly lumps to stay in the country and on the pitch!

Just watched the whole match back and Dufty’s body language had the look of a guy not happy at all even when he got his try.

I may have cut a similar figure, in fairness. The Dufty try was a sigh of relief, not a chance to celebrate.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not convinced that he’s happy, and I’m not convinced he is staying. But there are higher priorities for me. If Thewlis was at fullback full time, would we be better, worse or the same? Now, ask that of Williams, or Vaughan. Dufty can go for me, if he’s unhappy. He’s not setting the world alight and while there is no doubt of his athleticism, he’s not as rounded a player as what Thewlis could be (could, not is… yet).
However, if we can get them all fit, flying and happy, then we have a chance. And from experience, winners tend to be slightly less homesick than losers.
