How was the interview? Had mine today. Might get to meet up as I said I could do the Halliwell game in selected.

| Just been announced that the BBC will be showing every England game, as well as the opener, a quarter final, semi finals day and the final along with regular highlights programmes. Every other game will be shown live on Premier Sports. The BBC have also committed to showing international RL in 2014/16/17.
Great news, though no doubt people will find plenty to moan about!

| Pretty much secures crap attendances for the RLWC.
We can all watch it on the Beeb whilst posting on rlfans from our laptops about what a joke the RFL are for not marketing it better.

So who is planning to go to the semi-finals double header or "Big Hit" at Wembley:
www.warringtonwolves.org/the-big-hit-6166
I think this could be a superb day out. World Cup Semi-Finals involving (most likely) Aus, NZ, Eng plus 1 other, should be un-missable for fans of RL.

I am helping out as a volunteer, hoping to get to as many games as possible including the opener, 'big hit' and final. It is going to be an expensive six weeks! Great to see ticket sales going well, 1,500 tickets were sold in one transaction for Wembley the other day. The excitement is starting to build!

Yes, momentum is really going to start building now with lots of things taking shape. Obviously I would encourage all RL fans to get to as many games as they can - which will vary according to where you live. For Warrington fans I'd like to highlight the following in particular, get booking your tickets!
Group Games
1. Saturday 26th October Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Australia v England (A) 14:30
2. Saturday 26th October Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Wales v Italy (C/D) 16:30
4. Sunday 27th October Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington New Zealand v Samoa (B) 18:00
Quarter-finals
25. Sunday 17th November Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington Runner Up B v 3rd Place A (QF4) 15:00
Semi-finals - the "Big Hit"
26. Saturday 23rd November Wembley Stadium, London Winner Q/F 1 v Winner Q/F 3 (SF1) 13:00
27. Saturday 23rd November Wembley Stadium, London Winner Q/F 2 v Winner Q/F 4 (SF2) 15:30
Final
28. Saturday 30th November Old Trafford, Manchester Winner S/F 1 v Winner S/F 2 14:30

| Now that times are available I am going to start booking tickets. I am thinking of buying one a month to spread the cost, then buy the group games as and when the need dictates. I had a quick look at Final tickets earlier and it seems it is already difficult to get multiple tickets for a good spot. Best get on it ASAP!

| Why are they playing the semis at wembley on separate dates?
Much better to play both on same say, crowd wise it may look embarrassing.

They are on the same day. 1300 and 1500 kick off times, like the four nations in 2011. Hopefully the West Coast Mainline won't break again!

| I reckon I'll go to:
Sunday 27th October Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington New Zealand v Samoa (B) 18:00
Tuesday 5th November Leigh Sports Village, Leigh Tonga v Cook Islands (C/D) 20:00
Sunday 10th November The Gnoll, Neath Wales v Cook Islands (D) 14:00
Sunday 17th November Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington Runner Up B v 3rd Place A (QF4) 15:00
Saturday 23rd November Wembley Stadium, London Winner Q/F 1 v Winner Q/F 3 (SF1) 13:00
Saturday 23rd November Wembley Stadium, London Winner Q/F 2 v Winner Q/F 4 (SF2) 15:30
Saturday 30th November Old Trafford, Manchester Winner S/F 1 v Winner S/F 2 14:30
and possibly depending upon weather:
Saturday 2nd November Langtree Park, St Helens Australia v Fiji (A) 20:00
Sunday 3rd November Glyndŵr University RS, Wrexham Wales v USA (D) 14:00
Saturday 16th November Glyndŵr University RS, Wrexham Winner A v Winner D (QF2) 13:00
Saturday 16th November DW Stadium, Wigan Runner Up A v 3rd Place B (QF3) 20:00
Really starting to look forward to it now. I was reading last week's Big League International Edition from Australia and the quality of players putting their hands up for teams such as Tonga, Fiji and the Cook Islands means that those teams are going to be very competitive and provide some exciting and physical rugby to watch.

| I was also planning on seeing a few matches:
4. Sunday 27th October Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington New Zealand v Samoa (B) 18:00
5. Monday 28th October Spotland Stadium, Rochdale Fiji v Ireland (A) 20:00
9. Saturday 2nd November John Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield England v Ireland (A) 14:30
14. Tuesday 5th November Leigh Sports Village, Leigh Tonga v Cook Islands (C/D) 20:00
15. Thursday 7th November Salford City Stadium, Salford Scotland v USA (C/D) 20:00
24. Saturday 16th November DW Stadium, Wigan Runner Up A v 3rd Place B (QF3) 20:00 (unless we win the group, in which case I'll go to Wrexham)
25. Sunday 17th November Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington Runner Up B v 3rd Place A (QF4) 15:00
28. Saturday 30th November Old Trafford, Manchester Winner S/F 1 v Winner S/F 2 14:30
But having seen the kick off times, I'm contemplating on possibly a few more, adding:
10. Saturday 2nd November Langtree Park, St Helens Australia v Fiji (A) 20:00
11. Sunday 3rd November Glyndŵr University RS, Wrexham Wales v USA (D) 14:00
23. Saturday 16th November Glyndŵr University RS, Wrexham Winner A v Winner D (QF2) 13:00
Although I think cost due to the quantity could be an issue here...

| A really enjoyable and successful evening last night, big well done to all concerned in organising it and running it. The as usual top quality Heathcotes catering provided us with a Samoan / NZ themed 4 course dinner, interspersed with interviews by MC for the night Brian Carney between each course with local players Paul Wellens, Jon Wilkin, Chris Riley and Jon Clarke. All spoke with humour, passion and insight into what it is to be a RL player, representing your country and the impact RL can have on lifestyle and the community.
Then we had a fantastic range of top raffle and auction prizes that raised a tremendous amount of money for the RLWC2013 Legacy Charity fund and saw many guests going home happy with what they had won.
Once well done to the organisers, to the MC and players and to all who came to enjoy the evening. If you missed this one - look out for the next one and don't miss out!
