As a project I would coaching to work on to getting Thewlis & Russell to be able to play other than Wing/FB.
To be really useful to the team & to ensure they play more they need to be able to cover other positions (for 15 minutes)

Lucas Green may also get a bench spot ( rather than Thomas/Reddecliff). Interesting choice for Powell to make.

Pretty sure the 17 I’ve put up is not a million miles off, did not see Clark coming in so it’s why I have him starting on the bench, wether he spells Walker or comes on at 13 or even makes the 17 full stop I’ve no idea.

I just hope that Clark is in the squad because he's properly ready, rather than him being rushed back early because we are down on numbers.

I don't think we got a lot of the 50/50s last week to be honest. He allowed them to slow us right down in the ruck. I did watch it with my pnb tinted specs on though so could be wrong.

Other than Clark, I'm not surprised. It's going to be a monumental effort from Vaughn, Kasiano and McGuire, and some youngsters from the bench.

The penalty try was more like a 99/1 than a 50/50 and we still didn't get it!

Agreed, currie dis touch him before he got the ball but it was excellent defence regardless of the penalty try outcome. That sort of effort is the reason we are where we are. Nothing is a lost cause for the team this year. Really proud of them all and currie is as good as he has ever been. I really hope his contract is tied up next.

I accept the contact by Currie could have been a penalty, I am less convinced that it was a certain try and therefore a penalty try.

I just think that in any fair challenge for a loose ball, it's highly likely that there is going to be some degree of contact. If Currie had been the attacker in that incident, would the try have been disallowed? Seems like a slippery slope if you are going to punish minor contact like that. But whatever the call about the contact aspect, I agree with you that it didn't look a certain try anyway. If we'd lost the game, I would have been fuming about that call. Actually, I am anyway!
