Powell will introduce him as a bench player, as quickly as he can.

Yes, despite his tallness, he’s more a Waterhouse back rower type, only I doubt he had the same presence.

Powell saying he set a club record for a prop forward recently doing a bronco test and has also put a bit of bulk on at 110kg. Hope he goes well tomorrow

Oh for another Waterhouse. That is the (perhaps unrealistic) hope for Harrison.

Waterhouse got quite a lot of criticism on here. As did Louis Anderson before him.

Yep I'm afraid moaning and not being thankful for what you've got is a bit of a problem on here.
Remember the days when we were complaining about being in 3rd position & our main problem was camping on the opposition line but not scoring.

The vast majority of our players have come in for major (and in many cases sustained) criticism over the years by our fans - let alone opposition fans.

Waterhouse, both Andersons, John Clarke, Atkins, Grose, Fa'afili, Matt King etc etc, even Briers (although may not have been sustained).

Does make me wonder what planet some are on!

Briers got a lot of grief until we became a consistently good team. I remember the days of accusations that he would always go missing or limp when we fell short against the top sides.

The only one of that last that I don't remember getting criticised is Grose. He always seemed consistent, even if the team performed poorly. Maybe the criticism comes from his mannerisms. He was a cool character who seemed to coast through games and could look good without really getting out of first gear. If he'd played for Bradford, Saints or Wigan during that period he'd be 'World Class' TM.

Reserves got hammered 40-6.

Gross got a bit of grief after he got married and died his hair black, however I think he got a fair bit of sympathy, cos he kept getting shifted whenever we bought another player in his position, and just kept doing 7/10 performances

Ah fair enough. I guess 7/10 was probably as good as it got for most players during that period too! Thinking back to some of the guano he had the misfortune to play alongside

Harrison looked good. Very tall and rangy, looks like he could put even more size on that frame. Few decent offloads.

Minikin got an interception early in the game but was easily caught, looked very sluggish. Not sure if he was a speedster or not pre injury.

Harrison played well at 13.

He was substituted but came back on for a second spell.

Minikin needs a few more games before he is ready for 1st team football and had a chance for clear run in, but was chased down very easily by the defence. He is still recovering from his injury from what I saw.

I must have missed that, I recall him moving position but don't remember him having a mid-life crisis. Did he start turning up to training on a Harley in a Travolta t-birds style leather jacket?

Were Cooper and Charnley there? With Warrington I mean, not in the Wigan end.

Didn`t notice either of them with hindsight, but there was a lot of players sat in the stand together, so they may have been there.

I actually support the club I do not see myself as a buyer of a product. As a supporter my job is to help the club.
BTW I am obviously gutted about our decline.

I don't remember Louis Anderson getting any criticism to be honest. He's still one of my favourite players i've seen play for us. Proper big hitting grafter

The point I was trying to make was: that if you pay money for something, and it's not up to standard, then you have a right to express your dissatisfaction no-matter what that product is; whether it be a coat, a meal or a rugby league performance where the players haven't bothered to show up.

There were rumours on here that he had a bust up with Ben Westwood if I recall correctly. But he kept chickens so I won’t hear a word against him.

Just watched the game v Wigan. For boys who have had so long out with serious injury they did well. Harrison must be there or thereabouts for the Hull game.

Harrison will play 13 against Hull on Friday, we need the extra grunt and enthusiasm.

Minikin needs extra games before he is ready for the 1st team
