12 point lead isn't comfortable against top 4 teams. Wigans goal line defence is very strong. Probably better than ours on their day. We ran them ragged as far as I'm concerned, It's not like we didn't play. You're the one that always moans that we don't play exciting rugby. You've been moaning about it for years. Don't care if we lose so long as we're playing entertaining rugby. We played that last night. 38 offloads or whatever, constant breaking the line. Expansive stuff. But we didn't win, so you're here as usual, moaning. And you are moaning. Which says to me you actually want entertaining rugby and to also never lose. It's not going to happen.

The only one I can gripe at last night is Clark in terms of effort. Everybody wants it both ways all the time. Whinging last game because Austin was throwing hail marys to the wing, yet he didn't last night, instead took the line on as much as possible. And still gets roasted. We're not giving Wigans defence the credit it deserves for mine.

But whatever. In reality everyone on a forum is wasting their time as its just moaning or debating against a differing opinion that will never change.

Fine margins, wonderful when we find a way to win against Cas and Saints for example, but cause a bit of a meltdown when we find a way to lose against Salford and Wigan.

We've been competitive against everyone since the restart of the season, and should we keep it up, then we still have the opportunity to get to OT. We were always on the back foot in that second half against Wigan, and I thought we defended well with exception of Austin being caught out of position at the end. The turning point was in the first half when he lost the ball in possession which led to Wigan's only score (and the only time they really threatened in that first 40) of the first half. That was pivotal, as the wind was then in Wigan's favour in the second half.

Widdop had a better game, at least he ran with the ball and tried to make something happen. Toby King and Stef Ratchford were my candidates for our MOM. Baffled by Price's use of Ellis Robson, as I don't recall seeing him (did he actually come on?). We were already limited on personnel when Mamo took an early knock, so to not utilise Robson was strange. Our biggest problem remains breaking down the opposition in their own 25 yd area.

Watching Wires isn't my hobby, or an interest, it's a [ipassion[/i. And like all passions it is all-consuming, and reminds you what it is to be alive and to feel [iraw emotions[/i like joy, ecstasy, despair, disillusionment and fulfilment.

I don't bash my team because I love the sound of my own voice, it is because I want us to be the bloody best and being the best means challenging yourself, being unerringly self-critical and being honest, harsh and objective with yourself and your peers. Accepting second best gurantees second best.

I don't speak for all, and I know it's terribly English but then I'm a fiercely proud Englishman and we are pretty good at noble sporting defeat there too.

There's a world of difference between last night's "haphazard" display, with zero game structure, to what we witnessed under Smith, circa 2010- 2012. Planned moves, structured attacks, backing up.
Last night was panic rugby at best. It had an entertainment value, simply because it was [iriding by the seat of your pants[/i stuff.

Yet again, I AM NOT MOANING. I'm simply highlighting deficiencies, of which many of us can see. That's not moaning.

Ran them ragged? We did hardly anything in the last 20 minutes, and coughed up cheap possession time and time again, by trying the get fingers/hands on the ball, in impossible situations. We were in the driving seat, and we lost...again. Not a moan. A FACT.

I'm surprised we don't work on promoting a conservative way of winning or at least managing games. All we seem to have in the locker is off the cuff rugby which looks great when it comes off & when conditions allow but in the fickle weather of the UK you can't win by champagne rugby alone. Plan B needs to be worked on.

Conservative rugby is practically all we had for the first 2 seasons underbsteve played ice! Not many liked it and it won us 1 out of 3 finals. The first 2 finals with the Conservative rugby were the 2 most depressing wire games I have ever seen. We didn't try to win the match just tried not to lose and failed. I wanted price gone after the grand final that year, no matter how much of an improvement that it was I didn't enjoy our performances at all. I really enjoyed the first month or so after the league came back and even the youngsters losing to Salford but the last 2 matches have been frustrating again.

keep on getting riled up about it all then. I'll get mad when we don't try. We did try. And have tried every single game this year bar the Leeds hammering. THEN I was annoyed. Otherwise we've largely been very good. I really am at a loss as to the right us fans think we have to win all the time.
