I've heard the Aussies aint happy with how Maguire was treated and the fact some of our players are still pally with Charnley.

Huge overhaul needed. Powell may be a victim of the failures above him but he’s now inextricably linked with all the problems and the board don’t coach that ‘attack’.

KFP and Powell need to go and certainly board members need to figure out exactly how successful they want their train set to be.

You would think though that could be overcome with dialogue?

In all honesty I don’t think he’s to blame entirely. The players aren’t playing as a unit. If it is a split caused by the McGuire situation then that explains it all.

Interesting the speculation around a rift in the camp. Nothing confirmed of course, but something I've suspected for a while now, just my own opinion. You simply just don't go from the intensity and high of Catalan away in the league to the absolute tripe served up tonight in just a couple of short months.

It needs fixing, but unfortunately Daryl isn't the man to do it.

I think Powell is doing his best, he's an honest bloke and I honestly wish it had worked out but it just hasn't and won't.

This board never sacked Powell when we were in a relegation scrap, they ain’t sacking him now when we’re second in the league (they should). If we lose the next three Saints, Wigan and Wakey then I could see them having no choice however I think the board will expect us to lose the next two and then beat Wakey. You have to remember Karl employed Powell, him sacking him less than half of the duration into his reign means he got it wrong, his ego would take one hell of a battering.

Maybe Powell has had enough. Poor bloke looked broken. Not normal to stay in the box after the game for 10 mins.

Then the board should sack KFP and Powell ASAP

We stopped trying to attack with any sort of ingenuity well before the McGuire fall out - it actually coincided with Mikaele going home. Mikaele was playing well but he was no world beater and we should’ve been able to continue in a similar style. The weird thing for me is that the identity of the team completely disappeared a long time ago and we haven’t played well for AGES. That HAS to come down to the coaching team.

I mean regardless of things out of his control etc Powell has been a disastrous appointment for this club.
