Lineham has consistently been a very solid performer. It's the disciplinary bit that's let him down.

He does have brain explosions when he has to think what to do in defence rather than just react.

I do rate him but wish he would stay upright for longer when carrying the ball. I'm sure he lifts more weight in the gym than most other players. Why not barge into defenders the way Sita does. Goes low too soon for me. His interceptions are brilliant watching him run the 90m he seems to do with ease as well. I think he is fitter than he actually looks.

Please don't encourage him to run like Sita. Saddened will be apoplectic.

He is a good player weighed down by foolishness. I am in two minds about his leaving but at least it will provide clarity and the musical chairs between Thewliss, Ashton and Ratchford will finally come to an end as it should place Ashton on the wing and Thewliss gradually stepping into Ratchfords (still warm) boots.

Agar wants him at Leeds.
Rather him there than at Pies or Saints.

Even if Ashton wasn’t in the picture, you’ve got to feel that Powell can get another winger playing to a similar standard at a much lower salary. I like Lineham, he’s better than he gets credit for but he really has had some brain farts disciplinary-wise. Add that to the fact he wants to eventually be closer to home and I think it’s the right time for a switch. Perfect fit to replace Briscoe at Leeds.

We will miss the flying pig but it seems its a move that suits everyone. He's been really good for us for the most part and will have a part to play if we reach the business end this season.

Not as easy to catch though.

I agree I think he has given a good interview there. I hope he gets a good contract at a Yorkshire club.

Cup semi final against Leeds at Bolton, 2 tries no one touched him.
Cup semi final for Hull at Huddersfield against us. No one touched him.
I could go on.

I don’t need to be convinced about Tom Lineham. I’m a big fan of him. Best winger in the league for me. Breaks tackles like a backrower and has a sweet kick ahead and an eye for support if required.

Like you I’m an admirer of TL but best winger in the league? I’m not so sure!

I like Lineham, he's a good winger and excellent finisher. Can't remember him breaking tackles like a backrower though unless you mean like Jack Hughes.
