I got a good feeling about this one, i just think TS has been around the block a few times and knows what hes doing. 3 challenge cups, LLS and runners up of GF 2 times and nearly there again last year. Think we definately need that old experienced head to lead us from the backs, yeah like most i was expecting a "big" signing, but i can see why TS has brought him in.

I'll remain optimistic, but I'm sure the same "old head to bring on the youngsters" was an arguement that people used for big Roy too, and I'm not certain how well that's worked out, unless we credit him for Philbin, England, Laithwaite etc.

When you speak to people within the squad and ask them about Asotasi, they all say the same, brilliant trainer and works as an additional coach, always helping and advising the players around him. Its these things that we as supporters don't see when we only watch on match day. His value to the teams may be massive without being obvious, hopefully the same may be true with Gidley

oh i dIdnt know he was a brilliant trainer... THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING.....In that case, lets give him a new 2 year deal.

Well it might be a very different story in training with his experience and if he's a good talker...he may well be important for the young forwards in the squad.

According to Barry Mc on Boots 'N' All Warrington are in for more signings particularly in and around half back, he's concerned for Stef as he's very similar to Gidley, I don't know why as they both can play different positions, big changes ahead or Sky mischief.

Well to be honest i think ratch is best for ball in hand more and maybe move to loose? But at full back he seems to have settled in very well and links the play. Maybe either move Kurt to fullback or stick with him at stand off?

Where does this leave Russell though? And Patton, for me Patton must be given a chance and not replaced, he has brought us an actual kicking game.

I thought Gidley is more akin to a Brett Ferris(only better) than he is a Ratchford!

Gidley isn't particularly big, no centre/second rower like Ferris is. He's more like Luke Dorn on steroids.

Could the potential marquee rulings affect Warrington? Have they ever defined whether the marquee covers any player from anywhere, or just players you've produced yourself? One of Marwan's recent rants was that the new rules would allow only for club developed players. So Salford, if that were true, would only have Ratchford as a true marquee player?

Looking at the earlier comments from last year regarding the signing. I think quite a few people will be "Eating Humble Pie". Mostly from our own lads.

Gidley has played well.

I made the comments watching Gidley come of the back of his worst career season ever in 2015 with several poor seasons before that.

Gidley looked every bit as bad as Watkins does now, he couldn't catch cold, kicking out on the full, missing tackles, like Watkins, Gidley looked physically and mentally shot. Ask any dedicated NRL fan. If any Wire posters are dedicated fans they will know that assessment is bang on.

The change of pace with less external pressure the NRL brings and a drop in intensity has done Gidley the world of good.

Now then Yed, look at any of my posts re big Keith. Galloway is playing exactly as he did in the NRL. His stats are just as they were for the Tigers. Keith is doing the job he has always done. If that's not good enough for some then fair enough. Falloon hasn't played enough for me to give an honest assessment. So far it looks like a cheap stop gap that hasn't paid off.

He wasn't playing as well ahs he has done but that's to be expected to say. Awful and past it. Tho!! any fan would know that class is permanent form is temporary and he would be well worth the calculated risk of signing him
