I'm not going to sit at home worrying about what obstacle we might fail to overcome, chief. I'll sit here, knowing this side is very, very capable of achieving something amazing (as they have done the past two years).

If we don't win SL, that's the time to hold your hands up, tell <insert team> fans that their side was magnificent and that we fell short. I know though, it'll take some effort to stop us being involved in finals this year. We're setting the standards (and Wigan to a degree) that other sides must strive to achieve.

And you can guarantee that Saints and Wigan fans in particular will grab the opportunity!

At those prices I'd take Huddersfield.

Regarding St Helens, they are notoriously slow starters who always improve as the season goes on. As long as Eastmond is no where near the teambus, Saints will still be in the mix come the business end.

Huddersfield go off the boil far too easy to finish at the top outright. Danny Brough doesn't play, Huddersfield don't seem to play. Saints are in with a shout as someone else mentioned they always get better further into the season. Should we lose some daft games, Wigan losing the head-to-heads, and Saints keeping quiet and keeping pace, may just be worth a Paul McKenna. But IMHO Wire to finish 1st. Will we win the GF or CC? Far too early to call.

I hardly think you're in a position to take the mick about you beating us since it took you ten years, a move from Knowsley Road, the loss of Keiron Cunningham and us in total disarray to actually achieve a win over us! Just because you aren't y anymore doesn't mean you will beat us every time. You played us at the right moment for your advantage. Maybe by the time we visit your pad, we will have put our early season disruption behind us and be firing on all cylinders.

However, you go and write us off. That's fine by us. After all those years of being the dominant force, it's nice not to have the pressure. We can just sneak up on you like we did last year.



FWIW, I think the world is Wire's oyster this season. Now that you have finally put the Saints hoodoo to bed, you have your best chance ever to make it to and win the Grand Final. Whether your team will be mentally strong enough to maintain the necessary level of competitiveness and aggression in defence is what will decide the matter IMO. Wigan will not necessarily be your contenders. They have been found out. Who will be is anyone's guess; indeed whether Wire have what it takes to fulfil their obvious potential is anyone's guess. We're not even halfway through the season yet. But on present showing I'd definitely put Wire in the Grand Final. Not sure who would be your opposition though.

Have you not watched/read match reports on Saints the past two weeks? A kid by the name of Jonny Lomax who has excelled at scrum off and who has controlled games against Leeds and Bradford(Decent opposition) with consumate ease. Add that in to a pack of Graham/Roby/Perrry/Soliola/Wilkin and with Puletua and Lms off the bench pretty decent pack when all fit i'd say. Oh and Pryce to come back in May/June time when the tracks firm up. I certainly know which team will be peaking at the right time and not MARCH, silly boy.

Yes - it looks good for us at the moment but there will be a time when things get sticky. It happens to the best in every sport.

I have no doubt that Saints will be there or there abouts, as will Leeds.
Hudds will not be too far off.
It will be between these 5 in my opinion.

Cas will be in the top 8 but they don't have the strength in depth for a concerted challenge.
Hull / Hull KR / Bradford are off the pace at the moment and I don't see that changing much in the short term.
Pleased for Quins, but again their goal is top 8 to be realistic.

Like I said to the Quins fans on our board after they beat us, if you want to play with the big boys then that means taking the flak as well as giving it. I was kind to those Quins fans though because they were totally hammered by you in the week following our loss to them. However, I won't be as kind to Wire fans, should Warrington find themselves out of puff by the final third of the season and watching us motoring past in the league and on to Old Trafford. Just like last year.
