Not confident with our defence over on that right hand side - I expect Cas to have a field day. I just wonder whether Price will be tempted to bring Lineham back in to offer a bit more size on the right flank.

I'd go with that team as well. Only possible change would be drop Austin out, thewlis to fullback, Ratchford to half and Lineham in on the wing.

I did think that, but I thought Austin did ok vs Hudds, he at least seemed to be taking the line on again.

| I'd like to see Lineham back in, as long as it's Lineham the excellent metre-maker and finisher rather than Lineham the jackass. Dr Jekyll rather than Mr Hyde, if you will.

The son of former Halifax forward Jim Gannon, Jacob hasnāt yet made his first team debut for the Wolves but he has already made an impact at junior level. Last summer he was one of seven of our young guns to be included in the England Academy performance squad that, but for Covid, would have toured Australia and New Zealand. The others were Ellis Longstaff, Josh Thewlis, Connor Wrench, Dean Beddall, Luke Broadbent and George Roby. Loose forward Jacob was outstanding in a 32-10 win over Widnes in the pre-lockdown opening game of the Academy season last year. In 2019 he was a member of the England Academy side that defeated Wales 62-0 in Llanelli.

| Perhaps the academy is showing the way for the future of the club . Encourage the lads & give them confidence to flourish with their own skills when first team chances come their way.

| Charnley is finding the tryline now heās over on the left. However Hughes and Charnley on the right would be a tougher defence than what we have there currently. Lineham back in with King.
Mamo bench. Thewlis back in the reserves.
Not dropped, just a tough call on him, itāll make him stronger.

With Mamo on the bench, who is your right centre?

I assumed RD meant Hughes and Charnley 3&4.

| I think Austin should be the utility back. Ratch in the halves and Thewlis FB. To me that looks a more balanced side with more creativity.
As for the centre, Mamo can be a bit weak as he showed against Leutele. I'm not sure how he'd fare up against Shenton. I wouldn't put Ratchford there again though, he's more creative than Austin and if he has to move from his favoured FB position (which is where I normally think he's best) I'd like to see Thewlis given a go.

| I think that I would like see Butler on the bench rather than Walker, especially since since Price only seems to use Walker for 10 minutes.

Hadnāt been a big fan of Walker, but Iāve been very impressed with him in his last couple of games. Heās progressing really well, and if he continues on the incline throughout this season, Iāll have no reservations about throwing him in as 9 next season and saying gudday to Clark.

| I have in my head the team how it should be but price seems to like puting players in random places, so i don't even like to guess anymore.
He just makes bizzarre choices which highlights why i don't think he'll ever get a head coach role at top level ever again.
Hughes back on the right will massively improve the defence.....but do nothing for our attack. Butler needs game time so i hope he makes the bench.

| I think we need to be working towards what the back line would look like when everybody is fit and on form.
Ratchford
Lineham
Mamo (straight swap for inglis)
King (if he is gonna play on the right when inglis is fit then play him on the right all the time to build combination and timing)
Charnley
Austin
Widdop
Unfortunately Thewlis to miss out but he will get another chance soon as we have some opportunities in June and July.
I know I am the chairman of the Danny walker fan club but it would be good to see him play a bigger part in this game. DC has took a few knocks recently and played big minutes and with a semi final coming up would be good to keep him fresh. I am not convinced that Matt Davis can drop into hooker with the same effect that the likes of Grix used to do.
I am looking forward to what mind games we are goin to try when the team sheet is pinned on the dressing room door and if Powell will fall for it.
