Hearing Leeds v Wakefield definitely off.
Talks taking place regarding Warrington. Believe a number of their players are being stood down due to the RFL's track & trace. If the Wolves don't play Hull FC, the Black and Whites will play Leeds. Depends on if Wire want to play.
and further update ....

@M_Shaw1
Hearing Warrington v Hull WILL go ahead this weekend.
No game for Leeds.

| From a purely selfish Wire point of view you would hope that none of our players were deemed to be at risk following a review of the Wakefield game and that we play Hull FC on Friday with a full strength team.
If you were running the League then you would probably want Wire to stand down and for Leeds to face Hull FC. This spreads the backlog of games (Wire have played 9, Leeds only 8 so you don't want them slipping further behind) and it also minimises the risk of a Wire player testing positive next week having played this week.
We'll just have to wait and see but there are too many players testing positive which doesn't bode well for the rest of the season.

| Imagine this happens the week before the Challenge Cup Final or the Grand Final, and a team has to stand down multiple players. I have to agree with St Helens Wolf - it doesn't bode well.

By the sounds of it 'several' players will be stood down - I guess it just depends on who. Knowing our luck it will be D Clark, Widdop, Austin & Ratchford!
We have a relatively healthy squad and are building a little bit of form, so I think it's the right decision to play as long as the RFL protocols etc allow it. It looks lik ethere will be plenty of games to be played in short succession at the back end of the year, lets play as many as we can safely now.
Have we had a case yet where a player has directly infected a player from the opposing team? I guess potentially we have the case with Catalans & Wakey but I don't think it's been confirmed if the Wakefield squad was infected by Catalan or just from general population?

| I'm enjoying the style of play and will enjoy seeing some of the fringe players get a game so glad its going ahead. Hopefully we can maintain some form and win one of the next two games at least but it will be tough.

| I don't really understand the logic the RFL are applying in any of this (there may be a clue with the words logic and RFL).
Given our tests have come back negative and all fhe squad had equal exposure to the Wakefield players, how have they arrived at a figure of six and what are the criteria?

It's based on GPS tracking of players contact time with those infective players of Wakefield.

| Surely if its one its all? How on earth do they come up with 6? How is this done? I know they are using GPS...is this down to 'player X tackled player Y 4 times' so has a higher exposure than player Z' ?

Thats pretty much how it works yes, not sure if its number of tackles or total time of close contact.

| who is the top tackler? Daryl Clark will be one of the 6, so will Jack Hughes and Jason Clarke, because the props are spelled they might have less exposure.

It can take some time before you return a positive test, so the 14 days is to cover the possibility of a 'false negative'.
As for the rationale on who is stood down don't know if it's number of tackles / carries against specific players,or can the GPS that is worn determine time spent within a set distance of another players GPS?
Did the RFL / SL ever publish the criteria for whether pa player would be stood down via contact in a game situation?

If that is true and goes off the Highest tackles then we'll be missing
Matt Davis
Ben Currie
Daryl Clark
Chris Hill
Jason Clark
Blake Austin
But there's no Guarantee they all came in to contact with the infected player.
Be interesting to see who is left out, luckily we have a big squad depth

And yet those players are all spitting all over the grass - Is their spit, and who unfortunately then lands in that spit, monitored, as there is far more chance of picking up the virus from that. Throw in the close contact after tries are scored, getting changed together and all travelling together, then the idea of a track and trace on the pitch is absolute bizarre logic.
If 6 of our side has possibly picked it up between approximately 6.15 and 8.15 on Sunday night, then hasnt the other 11 also then possibly picked it up in the half hour after getting changed?

Regarding your last bit, no because you are not immediately infectious after being exposed are you?, and they were also negative on monday so nothing to worry about between the game time and monday. The risk is that they become infectious in the 14 days following. I do agree that the GPS bit is all a bit bizarre but at least it means we can play rugby and fulfill the sky contract which seems the priority for the good of the game.

But I assume ALL the players have changed and trained together until the moment they were instructed to self isolate?

| I got called on here by Paul Youane the other week for suggesting the RFL need to be stricter with the rules and the players bubbles. Apparantley they are doing a wonderful job. That's 4 teams I make it all with positive tests in 4 weeks. The competition is fast becoming a joke.
