@9_Moley is reporting that Bryson Goodwin is set to return to @SSFCRABBITOHS for 2020 after attempts to grant an early exit were blocked by Warrington officials.

Oh dear. Now we look like the bad guys. Hopefully his on-field performance won’t dip as a result of his off-field disappointment. Though with that being said, I know he’s been injured, but he’s not been anywhere near as good as last year for me.

I wonder was he hoping to escape when Burrell gets here?

Anyone else seen a confirmed report from SS Rab about Bryson signing for 2020? Can't find it now but I'm sure i saw one on social media earlier.
If true, i noticed he had a better game last Friday. With his future sorted might start to see the best of him again.

Shame if true as I've always like Brian Goodwin but we have other good centres like Tony King. Would be worse if we were losing someone like Darren Clark or Steven Ratchford.

We couldn't afford him anyway, if he's leaving because he was promised a marquee wage then we couldn't afford it as our 2 spots are filled next year with widdop and Austin. And Burrell has yet to show what he can do, he might not even play centre. I see Widnes are offering Gelling around which seems weird if we are supposedly signing him??

Word is at Widnes that Warrington have approached Gelling but he's not so keen.
I must point out at this stage by the way that my sources of inside information at Widnes are 100% unreliable!

Gelling would be interesting rather than earth shattering. To be fair thought he was always ok at Wigan.
Regarding Bryson, his dip in form may also be related to the persistent niggles he has had. I agree, if his future is now sorted I would expect, injuries permitting, to see him return to his best which is great for us.

I assume this is because there's a risk he might not be first choice every week. That's something you have to accept at a club with a big squad so if that's the reason he'd be better off replacing Watkins at Leeds.

I can’t understand all this negativity across these boards about Watkins. Even Wakefield fans claim they don’t want him and have better. Yeah right! If we needed a centre and signed him I would be delighted personally

Can’t see how he fits into our salary cap but personally would be delighted to have him. Quality player and needs a new challenge. Would improve our team

Don’t think the cap would be a problem,Atkins leaving, doubt Westwood will get another year Akauola not yet offered a new contract and who ever else that has not been mentioned.

I've watched him closely in games on Sky. I'm afraid he's not what he was. He is yet to show any form this season. I don't think he would improve our team at all. Not for me.
