Find the moon, just above it is Mars...
Turn about 45° to your right and you'll see the brightest looking star which is Jupiter.
The iss will appear around there at 2154hrs on a heading towards the moon.

Saw it, excellent viewing conditions too. After Wires, music, myself & rumpy-pumpy (I'll let you decide the order for yourselves) Astronomy is my other principle love.

I realised too late that I put the wrong time.
Was 2149 hrs to 2154hrs.

I really like it when it flies by at a -3 mag.
it generally means it is going to have a sunset.

You can clearly see the white reflection light turn red for about 6-8 seconds as it goes into twilight and then disappears.

Tonight over the Americas they will see a total lunar eclipse.
we will not, but we ought to see the moon change its shade to a rosie colour from brilliant white soon

If you missed it last night then there is another chance to see it to tonight.

It will pass over again at around the same position as last night at 21.01 hrs and will be visible for 4/5 mins.

I hope to see it go red again just before it goes into darkness as it did last night. Not too confident it will as it flies by an hour earlier than last night and it may not enter into the earth shadow before it hits our horizon.

Its another -3 mag so it will be quite high above our heads and very bright.

It will appear near to Jupiter and fly by the moon and Mars heading more towards Saturn.

Its interesting because the 3 brightest stars in our skies (planets) are all so easily visable tonight.

As bad as we are this year I am certainly not going to waste my time looking at a chuffing space station!

Finding Mars is easy just above the moon and with binoculars you will be able to see its twin moons.

Sorry Irish...its just that it is a great opportunity to see it at a big magnification and at a sociable time period for us and kids to view.

I checked the angle of approach again.
It will be nearer north west than north and heading more south east than I said earlier.
