dont know if its just me that thinks this but smith should give him a chance in the next two games when we are without higham and monaghan just coming back from injury, good hooker and is involved in all the 20's tries

Smith said in his interview after the Leeds game that Monaghan should be back this week.

I mentioned this in here last week but i don't anyone has heard of him. He does seem to to be a very good player who creates chances all over the field, plus the fact he would be an unknown quantity to opposing coaches.

I was impressed with him on boxing day I remember asking who he was as he did not look out of place and caused a few problems

monas will be back and is fit to play but smith loves to play 2 hookers so i thats why i suggested that he should be given a chance in the first team

Think he may have to have a second option as first game back after op he may not be fully fit to do the 80

my point exactly, would love to see him be given a go, he has played great for the reserves this season and deserves his chance

The second is near enough the team I thought except carvs may be out so put wood on start and blythe on bench

Haven't seen the Academy sides yet this year but judging by his form last season Dwyer is a great prospect. We may have to play him and one or two other of the young lads and show scant regard to our opposition (oh no that's Wigan).

would be good to see a hooker from U20's make an appearance, I can't remember the last time we brought one through the ranks?

Alex Thomson was the last academy hooker to play first grade.

I'd give Dwyer a go against Wakefield but not Wigan, I think he's still only 18.

Not saying he doesn't deserve a chance because I have not seen him play, but TS has gone with one hooker all this season.

Personally after last week i would drop Carvell, now don't get me wrong i'm not scape goating or anything and people are always going to have bad games BUT places should always be earned and dropping him for one game just to let him know that players have to perform to stay in side would be my style of management unless i wasn't left with any option but to play him.

But with Big Dave & Ben H sidelined who could take Gareth place.

What if Carvell has put in bare effort during training this week to make up for the poor performance? Do you then not pick him despite excellent training levels? What message does that send to him and other players? Poor performances happen every now and then, dropping a player on the basis of one, no matter how bad it is, is the wrong way to go about things. Consistently poor performances warrant a player being dropped, but Carvell has been consistently class since he came here, I don't think dropping a player of his quality and experience is the way to go, but who knows, you could be Tony's brother and the source of his greatness.

Do you mean Hull 1st game of the season because Mickey H wasn't for that game. I thought Bradford away was Highams 1st game of the season.

Higham came off the bench at Hull but picked up an injury and then had to miss a few weeks.
