At least they've come out and apologised.

They will award points for any purchases bought since the new shop opened, as long as you have a receipt or bank statement showing evidence of the purchase etc. Not ideal I suppose, but at least they have confirmed the position.

Nice touch too awarding fans who travel to away games in places like Hull on a Friday night etc.

It does read a bit like "...so buy now, for Christmas and save your receipts, even though we're not going to tell you what your loyalty reward will actually be worth..."

Reckon this might well lead to some unhappy people come the February announcement.

It will be like the old petrol station points, you needed spend 10 zillion quid to get a torch or one of those pens that had different coloured inks.

It'll be interesting to see if "loyalty" = using the supporters coach for away games, or if its just buying your away ticket from the club shop (and make your own way there).

I had a good service in the club shop today to give the girl her due. The item I wanted (medium away shirt for a young lad's Christmas present) wasn't on the rail, so she made the effort to check stocks and then found me one in the back.

Decent shirt too I thought. The rest of the stuff in there was pure tat though.

The membership isn't the waste of time I expected it to be either. £54 which includes access to three games that would otherwise cost £60. Fair enough.

I don't know if they recorded any loyalty but I'm sure I'll survive if they didn't.
