I've been a reader of this forum for quite a while but i had to sign up as i dont understand the thinking of a lot of the posters.
My main question is what are you expecting from our younger players?
I understand you want players like the legends before but its not going the happen that way!
Patton, Currie, both Kings, Ormsby, Philbin and any others?
I know you all want the glory days but these aren't going to be the same players as Briers, Westwood, King, Morley.
They're going to be different players in their own right!
The main talking point of this thread seems to be Currie and comparisons to Westwood and Hill.
Of course he's not going to make the same kind of metres of Hill and Westwood, they're battering rams, Curries a ball playing forward who will see the gaps and put his support runners through, although a few of his runs against Cats put their players on their a$$es!
You said he wasn't there for obrien, watch it back, he was there obrien just didn't pass it!
It was a disgusting crusher and chicken wing tackle, preceded by both elbows to the face and a Cumberland throw and polished off by an attack to the legs. Westwood could cop a long ban for it.
In all seriousness, I couldn't see it but the ref indicated a crusher tackle.
