How can it be a shoulder charge when he didn't use his shoulder?



It was a check, he didn't turn his body at all. He ran straight towards him and hit him facing forwards on which would have been a perfect tackle had he still got the ball. The ball had gone and he got there too late hence he will have to possibly answer a charge for a late hit.

If you honestly think it was a shoulder charge then you are letting the defeat cloud your judgement or you don't have a clue.

Towards the latter part of the game on a high Widnes ball, I am convinced I saw Tickle knock the ball into Ratch but the video ref gave a Ratch knock on. Some poor calls today.

There were several things to complain about the reffing today. Not the best display I've seen, but the messing about at the ptb was really wearisome.
So slow - more so by Widnes imo, but we were no angels either.
Last man gets off really slowly and keeps his hand on the ball. Very frustrating. (Like our 1st half display).

Who do people think of as good refs though???????

I don't think Widnes were square all night. As for the Russell tackle, awful. Can't believe we didn't even get a penalty. The high tackle on Bridge in the first half should've been at least a yellow as well.

I don't think you can give a yellow for a high tackle unless it is for repetitive offences. Its either red or just a penalty.

The high shot on Bridge was the 4th consecutive high shot, 3 of which were penalised. I said at the time that he had to get 10 minutes. The refs have to adequately punish repeat offences, especially when they are dangerous.
