When he was appointed, he mentioned he was going to "open his book of contacts" to the RFL, the implication being that this would be of some tangiable benefit. Yet to see that but 2014 is probably the time to start judging it.
Even as an NED, he's engaged in a senior position and it's fair to expect him to have some sort of impact.
