Paul is a top bloke and the people who slag him off on here (usually the younger fans unaware of his service and true affiliation with the wire) should give him the respect he deserves, the "sit in party" that certain younger fans enjoyed is in my opinion still the most shameful episode in recent wire history!

He'll be back one day, in some capacity and I for one will be bloody chuffed when he does!

+1 No more honest and hard working player wore the p&b. What he lacked in natural ability he more than made up for in guts and determination.

Interesting that being a fairly limited but enthusiastic player earns plaudits from the fans. Being a limited but enthusiastic coach gets you the sack.

I spoke to Cull outside the ground last night and you could tell that he was a very proud Wire.

Very impressed with Jon Wells as well.

Several points
1. Cull was chuffed with Coops - and so he should be. After all he helped coach the lad and Coops is his nephew.
2. Cull was as hard as nails as a player and performed admirably as a player for us.
3. Cull helped create Wolves as it is today in administrative roles before moving down a league and being a success with them as coach and then stepping up to coach and save us from the drop.
4. Cull got too close to some of the players in a way that TS doesn't (not sure how that balance achieved)
5. Cull stayed too long with us because of his P&B blood and was hounded by many who know sod all about RL. This came at a time when he had major traumatic family issues to deal with. I was disgusted by those so-called ''fans''.
6. Cull needed a job so is at Widnes, and I hope he's a success as long as it is not at our expense.
7. Cull still has P&B in his blood.
