For our more informed posters do you think if he was a member of the Labour Party it would have been mentioned in this BBC article?'"
No but the leader of the Labour Party does not hang out with a Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard unlike the leader of the BNP.

Quote ="'Hitman' Norvern Soul"There are a couple of things wrong with this insinuation, though, isn't there, 71?
a) The fact that the fella is/was a member of the BNP is directly linked to the fact that he was planning on blowing up some evil darkies. If someone was planning to plant a nail bomb in Machester City Centre and it turned out he was member of a Political party that was, for example, advocating a unified Ireland free of British rule, then it would be relevant information; his political interests are directly linked to his criminal activities.
b) If the BBC were as far Left-Wing as you suggest, would they not hate New Labour as much as you do?'"
Theer are a couple of things wrong with your post
a) The court heard he was a member of the BNP for 1 year but he was not prosecuted for planning a terrorist attack. Presumably the CPS would have prosecuted even with a grain of evidence. All his convictions relate to being in possession of weapons and documents.
b) Nice article on John Bridcuts report on the BBC. www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/arti ... ng-bias.do
Can I recommend Robin Aitken's (25 years as a BBC journo) book "Taking Sides: Bias at the BBC"

| I dunno....Listening to the beeb's yoof output (Radio 1, 1 extra, BBC 3, etc), it seems to me that you have to be either gay, female, or of ethnic origin to get anywhere in that organisation, certainly fitting the leftie. PC stereotype that some have of the BBC.
May be slightly different at the extreme top end of the Beeb ladder, but its obvious that further down, that jobs are handed out on whether you fit a certain demographic, rather than a person's talent....Witness that talentless bint, Eno What-ever-her name is, trying to do a weather forecast on the North West news....If ever a person got a job becuase she is filling up a quota then there it is.

| If its in the best interest of the British public. For the fact that he was a memeber of the BNP then it has to published in a news report.Because of the offence he was found guilty of,then i think the bbc had every right to menition it.

Look at this right wing journalism from the BBC:
news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8469513.stm
Quote Six rugby league players arrested after a woman said she was raped at a Newcastle hotel have been bailed.
The men, from the Huddersfield Giants Super League squad, were staying at the Gosforth Marriott Hotel as part of a pre-season tour. '"
What relevance does the fact that these were Huddersfield Giants rugby league players, have to do with the allegations in question? None. It's part of an agenda by the BBC to try and discredit rugby league because it's a working class sport, and all the Eton and Oxbridge boys who run the BBC are diehard rugby union fans. I hate the way they smugly laugh at our game and try to force their right wing agenda onto working class people and a working class sport.
I shall be writing a letter of complaint to the BBC.

i see what you're trying to do here sal but the relevance in mentioning Giants is that there are 6 people and they have one thing in common and playing for the Giants is what links them together.
