Quote Rob Wire="Rob Wire"If we managed to recoup most of the money that we spent on Myler then it could be the best outcome for both parties, so far it just hasn`t worked out. I`d have expected to see some big improvement from him by now, he needs to learn how to boss senior players a bit more and to take control of the middle by moving us around the pitch. He basically plays in the shadow of Lee Briers and doesn`t look mentally strong enough to take on the mantle of bossing the plays, he just seems to be reserved with ball in hand as if he`s feared of taking control whilst Lee Briers is on the pitch, he needs to take on the opposition line more.
He`s got talent but it looks to me like his talent lies in his support play, i don`t ever see him as an Andy Gregory, Sean Long or Stacey Jones type player that will control games from the middle in the mould of a little general.'"
That isn't bad is it.
i'll throw a few options about, cause i think we need to give him another season to mature. I may be wrong
1) he is always a support player and we get in a replacement like-4-like for Briers. Maybe erm from St George

haha
or
2) He matures next season into a what we need and then we have made a sound investment in him.
As you say he has the talent and is a superb try poacher. Fast as anything and has a rugby brain. I have said all along he needs a confidence boost.
I don't know whether giving him a leadership with Briers off the pitch would answer a few questions. Maybe against quins or someone at HJ. If it doesn't work then we know where we stand.
I like the guy and he has a big heart and obviously loves Warrington. He has decided to fight for a spot. But i realize there is no sentiment in this biz.
I just hope he does a J. Clarke and plays out of skin when given the chance in the hopes of rectifying missing the CC final.
But do you think it is okay just having a support player for a strong leading half?
Or do we need (not want) more of him?
